I had one artifact drop, I'd assume it's a rare drop, and I'm level 18 I think.

Re: Marvel Heroes
Yeah. Like I said while playing, kind of see why the guys say Hawkeye feels spammy. That quick arrow is just that, very quick. Other chars have to wait for a barrage ability (Cyclops, Ironman, etc) before firing fast. Hawkeye gets it right out of the gate.Last edited by Valdarez; 06-07-2013, 09:12 PM.Comment

Re: Marvel Heroes
Thanks to Val, Burns, and Solidice for getting me through Chapter 7 and into the last part of the game
Fun times and some good loot too! Grouping up with other OSers makes the game a lot more fun.
I know you hate Spidey Val, but sticky strike, web spray, and corrosive web are mob killersComment

Re: Marvel Heroes
Yep good time tonight. Actually love Spidey the character, but finding him to thus far be the weakest of all the chars I've played, at least with regards to damage. That might be accurate I suppose? I don't pretend to know the pecking order of the characters and their strength/damage potentials, but it makes for a far more tedious experience overall with Spidey. Thanks to Val, Burns, and Solidice for getting me through Chapter 7 and into the last part of the game

I don't think I'm using Sticky Strike, as it didn't seem to have as much damage as the uppercut before it which I have at level 15 or 16 now (applied a Gold medal from dailies that gives +1 to all Powers).
For a character that's supposed to be nimble / quick, I find it odd that Spidey doesn't have any abilities that take advantage of his quickness other than the passives that focus on dodge and bonuses only 'after' a dodge has occurred.Comment

Re: Marvel Heroes
Found a pretty cool breakdown of experience gained and time to gain it from the daily's after completing the game on the Marvel Heroes forum.
Doom Runs (t1)
avg time: 20 min
avg exp: 110k
~5500 xp/min
Subway
avg time: 3 min
avg exp: 35k
~11k xp/min
Kingpin
avg time: 3 min
avg exp: 40k
~13k xp/min
Hood
avg time: 3.5 min
avg exp: 60k
~18k xp/min
Stryker Lab
avg time: 3.5 min
avg exp: 50k
~8.9k xp/min
All runs were full clears. Doom times were longer due to larger map, and the run back is long if you happen to die. Interesting to note that as soon as mobs started to be tagged orange, the xp dropoff was significant. I skipped taskmaster because I hate those mobs.
I wanted to be sure on how exp worked, and wanted to use my grinding time to the best of its ability.
Another way is to find the first daily mission that tags the mobs orange, and do the one before it for max exp.Comment

Re: Marvel Heroes
Not sure I understand the question. Were you having trouble hitting him? Or did it seem that way? He was a regular enemy like any others, his health just went down real slow, so perhaps it gave the illusion that nothing was happening? I know that myself and Perceptor were throwing the Web Spray which is basically a debuff at him, but that's all I was doing on my side other than shooting a Venomized WebShot and jumping in for an Uppercut here and there.Comment

Re: Marvel Heroes
If anyone runs across the breakdown for experience gained for gray, green, orange, and red tagged enemies, could you please post it here? I read it one day, but have not been able to find the information again on the Marvel Hero's forums. This isn't exact, but I think it's something along these lines:
- gray = no experience as enemy is too far below you
- red = 25% experience as enemy is too far above you
- orange = 50% experience as enemy is getting to far above you
- green = 100% experience as enemy is within the 3 to 5 level threshold for full experience
Appreciate if you could help me find it. I'd like to understand it for end game leveling purposes.Comment

Re: Marvel Heroes
I couldn't hit him. The main char model was transparent with a blue glowing stuff on like his shoulders and the top of his head. I couldn't target him (where the pointer outlines the target in red), The Thing wouldn't swing unless I switched to a non targeted attack and even then he didn't seem to hit, he could certainly hit me though. Also, the boss energy bar across the top was transparent. Maybe it was a bug because I teleported into the room rather than making the walk? Not sure I understand the question. That's why I kept using the little rush attack and eventually just resigned myself to fighting off the clones.Comment

Re: Marvel Heroes
Oh wow, that definitely sounds like a bug. Hit me up tomorrow and we can reset and try it and see if we can duplicate it and then post it on the forums for their dev team. They only recently added teleport capabilities for the launch so there could easily be various bugs associated with it.I couldn't hit him. I just searched "teleport" and "sinister" separately in the bugs forum and nothing came up. We can try to recreate, I'll be on early evening-ish.Oh wow, that definitely sounds like a bug. Sticky Strike itself doesn't deal a lot of damage, but it does double damage when enemies are slowed. Web spray slows enemies so that's why I throw down web spray and make sure mobs are on it so I can pummel them with sticky strike. With corrosive web fluid that just makes Spidey deadly. My rotation in cw, web spray and sticky strike.Yep good time tonight. Re: Marvel Heroes
Game is down, so reading the Marvel Hero forums and found this list on Costume Core requirements for various heroes. I've found like 14 Ore/Cores now, but they all look alike, so I'm not sure if they list Adamantium and X-Gene on there or if every single one I've found is of a single type. I know others have found Ore/Cores, do you know if they various types all look the same (yellowish)?

Re: Marvel Heroes
Perceptor, Burns, and SolidiceTX, I figured out where the quest was that we missed tonight in Chapter 7. It's called 'Savage Land Secrets' and can be obtained back in the Xzaviar Mansion. At the mansion, go to the door that leads outside/inside at the front of the mansion and then go all the way to the right (east) until you find the person who starts the quest.
The reward is only 30 experience (lol!), but if you're like me and like to see your Chapters marked as complete, then all you have to do is talk to her and then Dani Moonstar and the quest, and the chapter, will be complete with a nice little check mark by it.
