    Re: Marvel Heroes

After getting hawkeye after the prologue i haven't seen another character drop for any reason. Seems like they "fixed" something since early access play.

O well I have 6 people to lvl now. Wolverine is still at lvl 1 and i have about 2700g left to buy items from the store. Only thing i bought so far is a crafting ingredients box. Hawkeye and Storm don't have a self storage box which im still thinking of buying but it's 600g's each...

Just got Scarlet Witch (meh) for beating Doom, can you just keep redoing that fight for the rewards as a shortcut of sorts to getting characters?

BTW fought Doom at 22 with Thing with a lvl 27 Storm. I died a lot.

No the redo doesn't work for character drops.

I think I was 25 (or 26) when I fought Doom the first time... I died 3 times I believe.

I died more doing the dailies with Vald, I know that for sure. Having a bugged Mr. Sinister didn't help that at all haha.

That's the other free token you get unless you bought the Ultimate Pack and paid them $200. We get a fortune card instead of another character token. Believe you're only supposed to get it once, so you should end up with 3 characters when it's all said and done. 1 you pick at start, 1 after beating green goblin in Raft, and 1 after beating Doom. From there on out you have to find the tokens.

Thankfully it's only the daily Sinister that the lose health until dead bugged reared it's head. When we played him yesterday as a group, Burns experienced an issue with targeting Sinister possibly due to teleporting into the room vs entering via the door, but no one else suffered from that bug we ran into in the daily.

I feel the same way. I have nearly 20 years of history on the internet with the Valdarez nick, and you'll rarely find me use the word stupid. Here's a post I made during a discussion on their pricing model.

I bought the Ultimate Pack so I'd have all the characters with all of their costumes, but I honestly can't see spending any real money for any of the consumable items like experience, rarity, special find boosts and so on. $1.50 for an hour of boost that in the case of rarity/special typically doesn't turn up anything? That's not just pointless. It's plain stupid.

If they add new characters I might consider buying them, but I'm not paying $50 for one character and all of their costumes. Again. That's just stupid.

And, with that, I'll sum up my view of Gazillion's pricing model and dollar to G ratio. STUPID

I don't know how Brevik sleeps at night with the pricing model he's put in place for this game or how he, or anyone on their team could tell us when we paid $200 for the Ultimate Pack that it was worth nearly $800 dollars. I mean, that's outrageously stupid.

Honestly, it's a shame that such a horrible pricing model has been tied to the Marvel brand name and such honorable characters that have given so many such fond memories over the years and decades. Stan Lee is turning in his grave. Oh yeah, he's gone now. You haven't heard? He immediately keeled over after seeing it would cost a fan $120 to buy Spiderman and IronMan with all their costumes. His last words were 'That's just stupid'.

              One more time.

Ran into the bug with Mandarin where you end up unable to move. I let Mandarin kill me though and it unstuck me, then went back and finished Mandarin before noticing the other two were stuck as well, unfortunate since the Hawkeye char I don't think was able to grab any loot and the other Thing was able to slide into orbs at least.

Only way to fix seems to be dieing or quitting.

I don't know these characters very well. Is Mandarin the one with the rings and whose medal will do like 5 things (freeze, burn, etc)? If so, he has an ability that will freeze you in place. Black Panther has an ability to negate all negative effects that would instantly counter it, but so far I don't see another hero with an equivalent capability. Unfortunately Panther's ability only works on him, and not his team mates.

                      Re: Marvel Heroes

It persists too long though, I have a screenshot of the guy stuck in place on the SHIELD heli-whatever after we had beaten him and finished the quest. I'm guessing he froze all of us at the same time, it persisted long enough for me to give up and die, respawn, take off the last 1/5 of Mandarin's life bar, collect loot, watch the other thing jump around, return to Shield, teleport back to Mandarin to check on the other two, then return back to Shield and guy was still stuck.

He's there at the spawn point, can't really see him but for the white field.

                        Re: Marvel Heroes

My thoughts that I posted on a price feedback section on the Marvel Heroes forums, which echo what a lot of us here think:

I bought a UP and the prices are out of whack. There are people that want to buy heroes, but won't because of the costs. let's say you want Colossus, a costume, and stash tab because of the stashing issues the game has. The hero is 900, costume, 1200 (est), and a hero stash 600. Oh, and you need a crafting stash tab because for some reason, the mats don't stack unless you combine them. That's another 300. By the time you're done, Colossus would have cost someone $30. It's not that people can't afford it or not. The value for money isn't there when you're spending that amount on ONE hero.

I love this game and want this game to succeed. I'd bet if they reduced the prices to a more reasonable level, they'd make money based on volume. Of course, people are going to say that you can get almost all the content for free. Based on what I've seen after 30 hours in, I've yet to see a hero or costume drop. I don't have a problem with heroes being sold - just sell them at a price point that makes sense. This doesn't and when word of mouth spreads like this, people are going to get turned off by that.

                        End

I bought a crafting stash tab and it's full already. The lack of stacking mats is stupid and unnecessary.

That's crazy especially compared to a monthly fee MMO where you have access to everything in the game for a month for $15.

Mostly all I have in my locker are crafting materials and rare consumables, I think I have one piece of gear, and there are a couple of medals I've kept.

Also, even at the very beginning the armor and weapons sellers had **** in their inventory, I had originally started upgrading the armor seller but the stuff continued to be ****, do these sellers (and therefore ingame money) become relevant at some point? After getting the armor seller to level 3 I've been putting every item I find that I'm not keeping into the crafter level.

Not sure. I'm only on level 2 of those, everything I have is going to the crafter as well. I'm only level 8, and I think he goes up to level 15.
