    Re: Elder Scrolls Online

I'm not gonna lie, even though we are relatively low level. In the grand scheme of things, I feel it's such a different dynamic at play when Jare is running healer with the resto staff. I can stand my ground and just keep swinging my 2 hander.

I just need to find a good blend for my DK. I have been thinking tank from the get go so I've been pouring tons of my attribute points into health.

As time goes on I often find myself running out of majika & stamina during large battles.

I may need to reroll my attribute points.

Anyone have good DK / 2HS ability suggestions?

Goods times as usual today Jare, Candy, Six, Fund.

Also I wish you clowns chose the AD as your starting area. Lol.

I'm probably going to make a healer. Had a fun time in wow with one.

If you go tank with just health, start looking at the set gears you can craft. Those can help buff your stamina or magicka. I think you would lean to one form as the heavy use and maybe one or two skills in the other.

Bolt are you trying to tank with a 2H weapon? Just curious because if you are, you're going to wind up in trouble down the road.

The 1HS route is where you're going to need to go if you're not already. Blocking with your sheild is going to become SUPER importent in dungeons, especially boss fights. You're the tank, your job in dungeons isnt to do dammage at all. You will do a little but but that's not your concern. You need to keep the boss focused on you and not on everyone else. You are the only one that will be able to withstand a boss' critical blows, crushing blows, and special abilities without getting 1-shotted in a lot of boss fights.

Tanking is more about resource management and knowing when to use what than whacking away with a 2-h weapon to dish out dammage. For one, the two true DPS people in your group are always going to out DPS you by MILES. But at the same time they cannot nearly withstand the blows youre going to take and there's going to be boss fights where your healer is not going to be able to heal all 3 of you at times, and when that happens the one person they should always be healing is you, the tank. The rest will get some heals at times but healing you is priority 1. If you die, everyone probably dies in a fight if someone cant res you in time. If your healer dies, you all probably die in a boss fight if someone cant res him fast enough or get to him.

Health and Stamina are going to be your PRIMARY stats you need to worry about as a tank. You will have some magica but honestly you need to only be using that for 1. any protetive buffs right before you jump into a boss fight and 2. Green Dragon blood, which should be on your bar. Its your self heal and also restores stamina.

On your main tanking bar these are the must haves:

                      1. Pierce Armor. At the level you're at its going to be your only taunt. You'll get to morph it already into either something that gives more armor for 12 seconds or the other morph while will lower the boss' armor and spell resistance a ton. This ability is how you're going to keep the boss on you, and off your squishy friends. keep in mind you cant just spam this ability as it does cost stamina and if you use it I belive more than twice within 12 seconds of hitting him with hit you will actually "untaunt" the boss, which means he will go off and smack the **** out of someone else in your group, and you will NOT be able to re-tuant him for a few seconds. It keeps people from just spamming this ability.

2.Volatile Armor (or the other morph of this). This will add to your defense immensily for over 20+ seconds when you have the right talents with points in them. Again, more protection for you means more dammage you can take form the boss = less healing your healer has to do = more mana the healer has for those "oh ****" moments. This ability works off magica and you should try to keep it up every 20 seconds or so of a fight.

                      3. Green Dragons Blood: this is your own self heal. You will want this and need this. The less HP you have though the more it will heal so look at this as your personal "oh ****" heal when the healer is either stunned or busy trying to heal a DPS who didnt get out of the way of something when he should have. This ability takes magica as well.

                      4. Igneous Shield- this puts up a barrier of swirling rocks around you and your buddies if they are close by. It last a decent time. It doesnt give you armor but it gives you an actual nice sized health bubble for you and your friends. For you the health bubble is DOUBLED. Basically its extra health for 20 that the boss has to get through first on all of you. This sill takes magica as well and is optional, but I live by this thing.

So I know theres quite a bit of magica buffs there, but they are buffs and when you activate all of them right before the boss fight, and not use any other magica abiliies, you will have enough magica regained to activate them again.

BLOCKING. This is why you need a 1-h and shield if youre not running with one. Without this you will get CRUSHED and wont be a thing your healer can do about it in some boss fights. And again, if you die, its probably going to be a wipe. Everytime you have your shield up and you block, it takes stamina, but if you put points into your 1-h - Sheild passives and a few other things you'll unlock along the way you will icrease the dammage you block shields you from and it will cost less stamina.

ULTIMATE: If you're becoming mana and stamina starved in boss fights, use STANDARD OF MIGHT. It drops down your battle standard and will burn everything within range for a ridiculouse amount of dammage every second for x amount of seconds all the while rappidly resptoring your HP, Magica and Stamina. The other ultimate for tanking bosses would MAGMA ARMOR. it basically makes you invunelrable for 8 seconds. I personally like Standard of Might for the dammage and party buffs it gives.

So witih that said, there's other stuff you will need, which is why you have two bars. Most solid tanks actually run 1-h + Shield on both bars and have other situational tanking abilities on their second bar. The downside to this though is when you're not in a dungeon and just out by yourself soloing, you have 1-h + sheild on both bars, you wont kill things quickly but if you set your 2nd bar up right with things like Burning Talons, etc you will be fine.

I don't know if you're in there trying to tank with a 2-H weapon or if you swap to one at times in boss fights in dungeons but if you do and you've survived, youve been lucky. Later on (sooner rather than later), you will have that 2-H out trying to do dammage and in one swing from the boss you will be dead.

I'll be on almost every night of the week and if you need help with set up I'll be on party chat.

I would put every point you get from leveling and put it in HEALTH. Reason being is that you get more of a return on Health than the other two stats. Then just enchant your gear wtih stamina glyphs. Youre two most important stats are health and stam. If you run out of HP youre dead, if you have no stamina you cant block. You can put your sheild up but you will take the full blow from a boss. You can regain stamina but weaving in heavy attacks between blocking. Youll hve to start timing when you can stop blocking and use heavy attacks though.

Yeah there was a lot of mixup in the voice chat but I was trying to tell you to hit me up if you needed a loan.

From what I was told it will take awhile to level up because the XP requirements start at lvl 40 for the vamp line

I think I will do werewolf for my NB or Templar

Also so you can't earn XP on Vamp until 40? That doesn't seem right.

No what I meant was its like leveling up from lvl 40. So it won't be as fast as normal since I'm lvl 26. I could lvl up 3 times before vampire levels up,

That's what I was told at least
