Re: Elder Scrolls Online
Had this game for a couple weeks now and I'm really enjoying it. I'm a level 14 high elf sorcerer. Like others, I'm overwhelmed (in a good way) with how much there is to do. I'm currently trying to 100% all of Auridon and level up further before I move onto Grahtwood. Went there and just got destroyed by the high level enemies.
I got my blacksmithing and Clothing skills up to level 5 and used skill points to unlock the better materials. I'm assuming I'll find these better materials in the higher level areas? For example I want to find steel to mine, would I find that in a place like Grahtwood?Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Yes, better materials will be found in new areas.I got my blacksmithing and Clothing skills up to level 5 and used skill points to unlock the better materials. Also save your self a ton of time and just steal a bunch of stuff in town, then go to the crafting table and research/deconstruct everything you stole. Also, at a certain point, all those stolen weapons you take from around town will go from being made of iron to being made of steel. However you'll still want to find better ore as that's how you get the tempersComment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
So I've made a ton of characters; I have a problem. Got an Orc dual wield/sword and board nightblade, Breton staff paladin, Dumner 2 hand/destro Dragonknight, Altmer dual wield/resto sorc, and I think I may make a Bosmer bow char.
I made the dragonknight to share blacksmith with my nightblade, who has been my main, to make it go faster. Then I saw a sorcerer build and started using it and it's awesome. I think him and the paladin will share enchanting duties.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I have also found that stealing treasures in town is a good way to get some quick gold. I have been getting anywhere from 100 to 250 gold per treasure that I find in the higher levels and sometimes in the lower levels as well. When you go into a town always check the drawers and cabinets of a building. That is where I usually find them.Comment

I just made the mistake of adding a skill point to be able to craft Orichalc, however my character isn't levelled high enough to use it, nor am I in an area to mine it. So every craft writ I have is now for Orichalcum weapons, but I don't have access to the materials to make them.
So don't add skill points to your Metalworking for a metal until you know you'll have a good steady supply of it. In your case you shouldn't have added Steel, in my case I shouldn't have added OrichalcumComment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
Crouch and as long as it shows you are hidden, take everything you can get to register as steal. Around NPCs you have to be careful and not just try to snatch everything. If you get caught, run, know where the thieves entrances are and try to run around corners and down small drops.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I'll try this tonight. There's goes my leveling plans, I will be stealing all night just to deconstruct and learn new crafting things. I knew you could steal for gold but not about deconstructing. Awesome.Yes, better materials will be found in new areas.
