And how would I add that into my meals? I know I could make smoothies and put it in there, but I dunno what I would do if I didn't have a smoothie.

By the way, sorry about not replying to your message on XBL AA, I was away from my 360. I can play this weekend if you wany.

I always added it to milk and threw in some peanut butter. Might not be the best way, but oh well lol.

Easiest (and cheap) thing to do Acid.

First...get you a canister of Whey Protein Powder...you can get as much as 80 servings for like 40 bucks... that's 50 cents a serving with about 20-25 grams of protein in a normal serving scoop.

Then go to the store and get some frozen berries, peaches, etc. (A bag of frozen fruit will run you between 3-5 bucks most likely.

Get some bananas. (like 90 cents for a bunch).

Get some milk. ($4 a gallon or less?)

Get a blender...throw 2 scoops of the protein powder in, a cup of frozen fruit (don't need ice..the fruit is frozen and will act as the "ice" as well as the fruit), and some milk...blend together. Voila!! You've just made a great tasting smoothie loaded with protein, vitamins, etc. that costs you probably a grand total of around a dollar per smoothie or less...as opposed to going to Smoothie King and getting the same thing for about 5-7 dollars a piece.

This was a lifesaver when I was poor and in college and in need of some DECENT nutrition (Burger King can only do so much.)

That's exactly what my dad does, I'll just let him know that I want to do the same and he can just buy all the stuff.

        Wooo.

        edit:

Sorry, I have another question. Say I want to have lunch before tennis practice (or a match) and I eat around 12:30 and I have to start playing at 3. I could make a smoothie and then should I have something else, like a banana or PowerBar. I'm not really sure what would be good for lunch, so that I would get muscle cramps and stuff.

You should have a small 2-300 calorie "snack" an hour before you train, play a match, etc.

So like a can of yogurt and a banana or a some skim milk mixed with a scoop of protein. That way your glycogen stores will be full (aka..you won't tire out as quickly.)

I have my clients who are looking to lose bodyfat do their cardio in the morning right when they wake up. Having a diet coke 15 min. before your workout session is a safe way to give a boost to your fat burning.

Do 20-45 min of cardio (walking, jogging, running, doesn't matter..just get your heart rate up) first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Then...proceed to have breakfast about 20 min after you are finished (you'll continue to burn fat after your cardio session, but you NEED to eat at this point).

Make sure to eat a small meal every 3 hours or so..do NOT go more than 3-4 hours at most without eating...otherwise you are slowing your metabolism as well as causing your body to use your muscle tissue as fuel instead of fat.

Eat a balance of protein, CARBS (do not buy into all of this "no carb" BS...Carbs are a key component to weight loss and muscle gain. But avoid "simple carbs" like sugar and highly processed foods. Whole GRAINS (not Whole Wheat..Whole GRAIN), oatmeal, fruits, and veggies are excellent carb sources. Also make sure to get some "good fats" in as well..coming from Olive Oil, fish, nuts, and avocados.

Do your cardio 3-5 times a week...depending on how much weight you are wanting to lose.

Also...do a minimum of 3 sessions of weights in the afternoon or evening to maintain your muscle mass....go for moderate to heavy weight aiming for "failure" of the muscle around the 10-12 rep range. Make sure to get a protein/carb shake in within 30 min after your weight training.

WATER!!!...Drink gallons of it. No one drinks enough water. Avoid the sugary soft drinks, etc. The more water you drink..the more "full" your muscles will look and the better you'll look.

SLEEP!...a minimum of 8 hours..if you go on any less than that..your metabolism will slow and your insulin levels will rise..which will cause your body to store fat more easily. Also..if you don't sleep enough..your body won't recover.

Do this and you'll get some good results.
Sounds like a good plan but it's virtually impossible to accomplish if you work fulltime, or even worse, if you have kids to take care of.

I know some people say life's too short to be a picky eater like a woman.

I agree drinking lots of water is good. I almost drink nothing but water. I also rarely eat junk food. Although it's very hard to pass up the 99 cents per slice pizza joint after a night of clubbing.

I was taking Whey protein shakes last year, but it gave me the worst gas of my life. I Actually thought I had something wrong with me until I realized it was the Whey causing it.

Those smoothies sound like a pretty damn good idea.

I think it's time to start getting back in shape.(I wish it wasn't always so damn cold here, lol.)

You should also have your client weigh in before doing cardio then after.. every lb lost equals 8-12ozs of water, since it's only water weight that was lost..

Actually Yogurt & a Banana are simple carbs, & will give your insulin a spike, but will deplete soon after..Add carbs like whole grain, pasta, etc....You should intake simple & complex carbs together, The complex carbs will act as buffer so you will sustain energy longer..

ok here's my thing. I'm 5'11, 227... Going into Sophomore year I was 185... Obviously in the last year I've discovered alcohol. Now even when I was 5'11 125 in 7th grade I didn't have abs... My stomach was just there... Now that I am 227 I have a massive stomach, a flabby chest and red stretch marks on my waist and under my arms.... I have always had a stocky frame so I assume that it will be easier for me to get bulky rather than slim down... I was just wondering what can I do to lose the spare tire and actually lose the love handles? I really want to look in shape for once in my life and with the right program I know I can do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
