I had a friend of the family who weighed about 300lbs and one day he showed up at a lean 225lb. He said he met a girl and it was the sex that made him lose all the weight we all laughed. Cause if that was the case most of us would be thin. Turns out with his new girl he developed a relationship with the booger sugar. Which would better explain the weight loss.

But in all seriousness, you gotta kick the cigs. Your still young and financially you dont want to know how much potential money your throwing away in compound interest.

Damn, he did crack? Wow. Yea, if you seriously want to lose weight, crack will help immensely. Anyway, I want to kick the cigs and I know all about the money spent. Its easier said than done however. I'll forever be slim thanks to my overactive thyroid. I just want a little buffness.

Yeah, that's for when you become ridiculously jacked (or are very tiny) and can do a ton of dips.

Right now at 6'8" 237 I can do about 9 dips if I'm fresh. I tried doing them at the end of my routine today and barely did one cause I was dead. They're quite taxing, at least for me.

Dips like Benchpress are more about grip/tricep strength then anything else.

Start doing more tricep stuff and dips will become a breeze.

*******! 6'8", 237 pounds? WTF are you, a power foward or something?? Thats EXTREME!!!

I'm only 5'8", 155 and I'm pushing 30. Me needs to gain some muscle. Those dips aren't to hard now that I think about it. I used to do those some years ago but never knew what they were called. I do 30-50 pushups a day and about 10 situps. (Those things hurt like hell) Besides that, my usual strenuous activity involves a female partner.

Graphik, I knew a guy in college who only did pushups, situps and pullups. The guy was pumped and very cut up. He would do close-grip pushups, regular pushups and even some decline pushups with his feet resting on a chair.

He did admit that it took quite a while to get mass put on, but he became pretty ripped after only a few months.
It's a cheap alternative for people that don't have the money for weights or a gym membership.

Thats pretty much all I've been doing for the last 3 weeks. 3 diffrent types of pushups and some situps. I definitely see a diffrence as I went from super wimp size to not so super wimp size in a matter of days. 3 weeks past and I'm more defined, still skinny but more cut. My lady noticed it as well.

Now if there was only a way to increase the size of my........

NO is alright, but I prefer Super Pump 250, that's what I use.

Does Casein taste bad? I used to mix whey with peanut butter and non-fat milk to make it easier to chug.

I think it tastes great. I blend it with Vanilla soy milk and ice and it tastes almost like ice cream.

I use a blender. Takes more time/effort but it is worth it for me.

I drink and eat way too many things that are not good for me. I can't seem to eat healthy anymore, and I haven't worked out since I graduated High School. Any ideas on how to get back into the groove of healthy eating/working out?

Is it best to start slow when beginning to workout again? I don't want to go full blast and end up getting burnt out after the first few days.

Start by reducing small things. Like soda, then sugary things. Replace candy with fruit. Try chewing gum. And drink lots of water. That weaned me off of sugar pretty good.

Also start to chart what you eat. If you have a food journal, and look back and see what you ate, you might be so disgusted or shocked that you will change your habits.

                              Hope this helps.

I think this is the best way to go about things...THINK!

Before you go to eat something, ask yourself whether this is going to affect you in a positive or negative way.

Working out, just get into a routine. Get in there and feel your way through a couple workouts. Heck, just go jog a bit to get a sweat going to get you started.

Remember that the most important thing is diet!

                                It's a constant battle
