    Hope this helps.
I don't drink a lot of soda, I just eat a lot of ice cream/random snacks. I only drink water, unless I go out to dinner.

I eat a lot of junk food, but I never really gain weight. I just get out of shape.

Right. My problem is my lankiness, my arms will never be huge like short and stocky guys.

I have an 83" wing span trying to dip 237 lbs. Nature and physics aren't working in my favor on that one.

Is it best to start slow when beginning to workout again? I don't want to go full blast and end up getting burnt out after the first few days.
I found that planning my meals ahead of time and then shopping for only those meals helped greatly.
And remember, you should plan a 'cheat' day as well. We all cheat. Even the most hardened workout nut. You might as well plan for it, so you don't overdo it.
Saturday is usually mine. I like to make a nice big batch of hotwings and drown them with a coke on ice. Ahhh. There's nothing better.

My mother-in-law also says that if you avoid the middle aisles at the grocery store, you'll be less tempted to pick up any junk food. I never thought about it until she said it, but you can pretty much get all your healthy meals from the parameter (at my local grocery store anyways).

I agree with Money99. You're going to cheat, it's pretty much inevitable. It's just important that you don't crash. Allow yourself to cheat 1 or 2 meals a week. Don't kill yourself cheating though, as in don't go crazy with junk food.

I just ordered No Xplode (Blue Raspberry) and 100% Casein Protein (Chocolate). I still have my amino acid pills, and my creatine will run out next week.

Is there anything else I need?

                  Thanks.

It probably won't be here for awhile, I just hope I have enough stuff to last me until it does.

What do most people mix the No Xplode and 100% Casein with? Milk? Water?

I don't use Casein but I mix NO Xplode with water and that works fine for me.

Same, and milk works with the protein powder IMO. I like to put it in the freezer for a few minutes to chill it. It makes it more like a shake.

I put the casein with some ice and soy milk in the blender. Just like a milk shake

Quick question for you experts: I have been working out for about 2 months now doing the protein and now supplement thing but have gone down a notch in my belt but gained about 3 pounds...So what is the deal?

I know another guy who since I started working he started too. He was well out of shape and a lot bigger (aka a lot more fat) but he has lost 15 pounds.

Why does one lose but one gain?

By the way I am about 5'9.5 175 pounds.

And another quick question: I dont eat near as much, I just have lost my appetite since starting to work out. But the person I work out with says I have to eat to keep my carbs up for my muscles. Is this right? For instance after a workout I dont feel like eating but he makes me saying I have to.

Simply put, muscle weighs more than fat. You've lost fat from around your midsection, but added muscle mass. That's what you're seeing.

Thanks fellas but what about the eating thing?

Also does this mean I should not even worry about weight and just work hard?
