Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.

Have any of you guys ever tried this stuff? The cost of the expensive stuff is starting to add up, so I thought I might try something a little cheaper. It doesn't look like there is much difference numbers wise between this and On or some other name brand, so would you experts assume that this would work just as well?

So I've heard and read about full-body workouts before, but need some advice about them. What type of exercises do for them, and how often do them? I mean is full-body really working out your entire body every day? And is it really more effective? Thanks.

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.

I don't know about it being more effective then a regular split bodypart workout (most of the big guys that I know use split bodypart workouts) but i do a fullbody workout 3 times per week for ease and convenience.

        I do:
        Squats (legs)
        Bench (chest)
        Deadlifts (back)
        overhead shoulder press (shoulders)
Superset bi curls with tri pushdowns (arms)
        Crunches (abs)

I keep my rest periods to 1 minute (i use a watch with a stop watch because it's often surprising just how little time a minute is) and i am breathing hard and sweating like crazy by the end of a workout. I do 3 x 10 of each at the same weight (i try to pick a weight that i'm struggling to get the last few reps in the last two sets) and this whole workout takes about 30-40 mins each time.

I get in, go hard, get out....

Is green tea really good for you? I mean doesn't it have a lot of sugar in it?

"Real" green tea doesn't but companies add sugar to just about every product imaginable. I drink decaf Celestial Seasons only, most people I know think it's too bland and put agave or some other sweetener in it but I love it just the way it is. My two favorite flavors are Honey Chamomile and Mandarin Orchard, the Sleepytime flavor is very good too.

You can only drink this stuff while it's hot though, so I don't drink it year round. I brewed an entire pot once and put it in the fridge to try to drink it in the summer and it was like drinking dirt, lol. In the winter I have 5-10 cups a day of it, it's so good.

Taste the World Celestial Seasonings© teas are an invitation to taste a world of flavor in every box. From relaxing herbal teas to energizing black teas and green teas to refreshing cold brew iced teas and everything in between, there’s a Celestial blend that’s perfect for any occasion.

Just thought I'd share something interesting that I've learned today with you guys:

Extensive research has shown that being physically inactive is worse for you than SMOKING.

That's right. People who are physically inactive are at a greater risk of dying than people who smoke.

Think about this the next time you want to take an elevator, try to find that ever so close parking spot, or use the moving walkway in the airport.

This is crazy you bring this up because I was talking to somebody today about what is worse. We agreed that both are terrible.

I just read that the effects of smoking were negated by exercising 5 times a week for 30-45 minutes. It was in some mayo clinic news letter thing.

How does exercise make you not smell like an ashtray and magically make your teeth whiter?

I've taken only a couple of them and found myself looking up at the clock the entire time, waiting for the class to end on both occasions.
