Yea I understand but those 2 days you are missing out on alot of fuel by settling.
You can eat eggs everyday, nothing is wrong with it. You won't get high cholesterol.
You just need to supplement it with a high fiber diet.

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
For breakfast I alternate between eggs and muesli with skim milk and low fat / low sugar (but surprisingly good taste) yogurt. The muesli i buy uses raw oats and has some nuts, seeds, and a little dried fruit in. With the milk, yogurt and oats it works out to nearly 30grams of protein as well as plenty of "good carbs" so i think that is a healthy option if you want to go the cereal route.
My single biggest problem when it comes to dieting and nights after dinner. Sometimes i'm still starving about 9.30-10pm and i often give in and eat something unhealthy which i think really hurts my fat loss progress. Any tips for overcoming this?Comment

- Chew a piece of gum and have water
- Ignore the craving with pure will power
- Think about how much it will hurt your progress and ask yourself if it's worth it
I'll usually ignore the craving and try to do something to take my mind off it. You'll be surprised how hunger goes away just as often as it strikes.Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Yeah i realise it must be a common problem.
What i have been doing lately is brushing my teeth straight after dinner than have 1 or 2 massive glasses of water with ice and that seems to help keep it in check. Just gotta keep it up for a few months and i'll be good to good.Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Yea brushing your teeth is a good idea because you really don't want to eat anything after that. I know I don't.
Chewing gum makes me more hungry if anything. I just drink some water. Or if I NEED to eat something I will eat a banana. I swear I eat like 5 bananas a week. That can't possibly be healthyConcrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Gum also makes me hungry. Before I go to bed I just alway chug two glasses of water and I'm fine until 2:00 AM when the water has to come out.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
How Much Fat in Milk?
Many people are confused by the fat percentage on milk labels. For instance the label may say 2% fat, which sounds like almost nothing, but to put this into perspective, this is the same as getting one pat of butter in every eight ounce glass of milk! This milk gets 35% of its calories from fat. The 2% represents how much of the total weight of milk is fat, which, to the consumer, is almost meaningless. The following chart shows new labeling standards:
New Label Fat Grams/Serving % Calories from Fat
No-fat, fat-free or skim ½ g. 4%
Low fat (formerly 1%) 2½ g. 23%
Whole milk 8+ g. 50%

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Ok so I finally understand the whole you can't lose fat while gaining muscle thing, but what is a good way about doing both. For example would lifting heavy and trying to gain muscle for like 3 weeks and then trying to do a bunch of cardio and stuff for a week work?
Since it's close to the winter I'm going to try and focus on the building muscle and getting bigger, and hopefully work on cutting all the fat off closer to summer. I've been trying to find some good "snacks" that are good to eat when trying to build muscle. I usually just snack on some dry roasted peanuts but I'd like some other options. Occationally I'll take some yogurt.Fan of....

Dirty = eat calories at a suplus and lift heavy and not care if you gain fat with muscle.
Clean = try and eat 500 calories more a day while lifting hard. Gaining 1/2 lb muscle a week is a good goal with this. You'll gain minimal fat because you're eating healthy foods.
Peanuts are OK but they are very calorie dense and not very filling (aka you'll eat 500 cals of peanuts before you know it!)
String cheese is a quick snack that is OK
Cottage cheese
Bananas
Protein shake
Bottom line: Lift hard, eat "clean" foods at a moderate surplus and limit cheats & drinking. You'll gain muscle and then when early next year rolls around you can cut to get ready to show off the muscle you just put on.

Just got done with a 4-mile run at 11pm in 40 degree weather. It felt good. I'm down to 210 lbs from about 218 in 8 days. Now the weight will come off very slow but I just need to not cheat. (most is water weight, not fat. Probably 1-2 lbs of fat.)
I'm on a low-carb diet and I need to "refuel" my body with carbs soon! I'm thinking I'll do it on my off day, Tuesday. Tomorrow I am only doing abs at the gym. That's right, I have an ABS day! I kill them! Lots of weight added and plenty of long sets. If I get down to 200 lbs I'll finally have my 6-pack I want then I just need to maintain. Maybe 195 will be my goal.Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Thanks for the response. One more quick question. Is it worth it to lift on a day that you aren't going to get much sleep at night? For example I have a crazy schedule that for 3 nights of the week I get only between 5-6 hours of sleep. I know that sleep is important when trying to build muscle so would lifting on those days be pointless?Fan of....

As long as you put in some solid work those days you'll be straight. If you half-a$$ it at the gym you'll get half-a$$ results.
Also remember some days it's just not there but try and battle through it. Think of the goals you have.Comment
