ALL THE FREAKING WHITE STUFF
I see almost a foot of snow falling outside and it's starting to come down even harder. This is in Illinois. I heard that a storm was coming, but this is just insane. Anyone else at the house chilling and just wondering how high it can get? I mean, the snow on my neighbors yard is almost covering their window. It's funny cause I was fixing my sister's computer and just saw the height of the snow out the corner of my eye. Thought I needed to get my glasses checked. Sure enough though, that mother sucker is just up there.Tags: None -

It's crazy. We got off early today, and I think we're getting off all of tomorrow too.Comment

Re: ALL THE FREAKING WHITE STUFF
We got sent home from work early, complete blizzard outside. I just got done snow blowing, and it's already piling up again. They are saying 14-18 more inches over night. I'll be snow blowing every 2 hours all night long, can't waitComment

Re: ALL THE FREAKING WHITE STUFF
Got sent home at 2pm today - which is something I've never seen in my years of working. A normal 35 minute, 30 mile drive home took 1.5 hours today. Of course, going 25 MPH on the interstate will do that. Gotta love the road crews. They claimed to be on top of it in the paper, but the roads showed otherwise.
Tomorrow is supposed to be worse.Comment

Re: ALL THE FREAKING WHITE STUFF
We're supposed to get it tonight (Boston, MA) and tomorrow morning. They're unsure if it will move more north or not. I've heard anywhere from 3" and rain to 12-18". So my work plan for tomorrow is to wake up and look outside. May work from home or come into the office.MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies

Re: ALL THE FREAKING WHITE STUFF
Snow hasn't started to fall here yet, but we are supposed to get 10-18 inches by tomorrow afternoon.
I'm so screwed. I have skipped 5 days of English, and if you miss 6 you are dropped from the class. Tomorrow I have English and with the way the meteorologists are talking, it looks like the weather will be horrible tomorrow.
So it looks like I either drive the 35 minutes to college in horrible weather conditions, or I stay home and get dropped from the class(which will royally screw me over). Let's hope the college is closed.Comment

Anywho Pitt canceled all classes from 4pm today to noon tomorrow for the snow. In fact I think most of the colleges canceled at least something, the last hold out is CMU who I don't think did anything. Cancellation gets me out of 1 exam, a 2 hour snooze fest of a class, and a homework for tomorrow. Jackpot.Comment

Re: ALL THE FREAKING WHITE STUFF
It's been snowing a bit here, but nothing heavy enough to stick to the ground. In fact, I just got through running in a bit of the flurry.Comment

Re: ALL THE FREAKING WHITE STUFF
Here in bloomington it not really snow, but all ice! Its horrible out, cant drive at all. I would rather have snow than 4-5" of ice, all the powerlines are going down becuase of it. Not a good situation, they are calling in people from carolinas to come to bloomington to help get electricity back. Lucky I still have it!"Basketball may have been born in Massachusetts, but it grew up in Indiana." - James NaismithComment
