Haha, I got two friends who work there who said they'd put in a good word for me, plus I know one of the managers.

I'm trying AE first, though, because it'd be easier to get a job their for the summer when they hire more for the back-to-school season, plus I shop there, and I got connections there, too. Haha.

Now this was funny. I laugh out loud when I read this. I remember being about 20 to 25 and the army recruiters would always go after us at the Mall, now when I go they just keep walking. I guess 35 is to old! lol

I'm in film school studying filmmaking.

I used to work retail/sales at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and while I learned a lot (stuff that I just recently realized has benefitted me in terms of directing and managing people) I never want to do retail again.

I'm hoping that by next year I'll be working in the film industry, even if it is a small time gig.

                Let's see...my four job choices:

American Eagle - Cousin is the District Manager of the store in Chicago, and the higher-ups really like her. Used to manage the Northeast branch of it, so knows the current managers. Said she'd put in a good word for me. Plus, I know two exmployees.

Best Buy - Already explained. Know two people who work, and one of the managers.

Guiseppe's Grille (resturant) - My dad is one of their best customers, and the owner said if I ever needed a job I could work there.

Construction - Worked there before. Company is ran/run by my mom's best friend, and a very good family friend. My sister worked for him, and he used to be my soccer coach.

So yeah...I'm trying not to reach too far. I figure I have a good shot at these, so might as well go with what I can probably get.

                    Re: What do you do?

Lots of attorneys and software guys on here...

I work nights so I'm 1/2 stay-at-home dad, 1/2 Retention Specialist for a major auto insurer (same comapnety as EG). Basically I'm an internal agent who sells policies to people who let their insurance lapse and just became aware of it at 4 in the morning. I finally decided to get myself back into some type of schooling, so I'm currently studying for my real estate license.

Before that I was the loss prevention manager for the Finch Co. (Next Urban Gear) and before that a store manager for EB.

Got my application in to American Eagle. I'll wait to hear back from until I apply at Best Buy. And etc.

Don't need the job until May so I'm getting a little ahead, but I want to know I have a job for the summer, ya know?

I just started as General Manager of my dad's Jimmy John's. I had been working as a manager since 04 but now I'm offically a big wig with paid vacation and a salary. IZ NICE.

So....I'm curious as to how the many millionaires of OS make their cheddar.

So post what your current job status is...if it's student then post that and if you feel like it...post what your current part time gig is, etc. if you have one.

Myself...just left the Scrap Brokerage and Construction Materials biz last week as a matter of fact after 4 years in the industry.

I'm now back to what I love...doing personal training and currently running Powerhouse Gym here in Birmingham.

I also flip houses (just finished one and put it on the market 2 weeks ago) and work on the weekends managing a local night club.

                            What do you do?

                              Student.

During the summer I work in a mill doing summer help for 15 an hour. Dang nice money, but it gets up into the 100s with humidity and stuff in there.
