I just quit a teaching job here in South East Asia. There's tonnes of jobs around and my Mrs works at a major hospital...so there was no real reason to keep doing it for a while.

I just woke up the other day and thought "I want to get really fit".

So, rather than work, I am now going to the gym for a few hours every morning. I am doing half an hour on the treadmill, hour on the bikes, weights and swimming.

It beats the crap out of working and I REALLY envy athletes who get paid to do this sort of thing. I feel so much better physically already. Seriously, i can't even imagine getting paid to do this. Pro sports guys have GOT IT MADE

          Afternoons are spent reading...

Figure I'll do this for 3 months and then take a 12 month contract somewhere.

              **** YOU!

Seriously though, congrats! Lockheed is like the gold standard of Engineering jobs! My wife in particular wanted to work there (did the internships, high school camps, etc) but things just didn't work out. Hell, their interview process was the most intensive period!

As a Civil grad they don't have opportunities for me, but I did laugh at the career fair lines, stretched around the building for Lockheed!

              Again, congratulations!

I am the director of a company a little south of Morgantown, WV that provides employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We have contracts with major employers in the area like the FBI, Bombardier, and Aurora Flight Science Center. It great to get people jobs that pay well and aren't your typical fast food jobs. Most of our consumers have been told that they could never work or be a productive member of society. Its priceless to see the look on their faces when they get that first paycheck from the FBI, and they feel so good about themselves after being **** on their entire life for being "different".

I work in the IT department at a small Applebees franchisee. We own Applebees restaurants in Chicago/N. Illinois, South Bend/Ft. Wayne, IN, Northern Ohio/Toledo, and the Miami, FL, areas. I'm basically a data miner and do a lot of general IT stuff. I like what I do a lot but it's only enough for me. I'll have to find something else should a wife and kid happen down the road. I'm likely going to start at grad school at some point this year for an MBA. Just be nice to have.

I work for FedEx Express at RDU Airport. I'm a package handler, as well.

It takes awhile for all of the paperwork to be filed, as literally hundreds of people apply everytime we have an opening. I think it took them about a month to get back to me after I turned in the application.
