Well I ended up getting hired at FedEx as a part time package handler....of course it starts at 4:30 AM which is tough on me, but I'm gonna stick it out. Saves me the trouble from stressing about trying to find a job all summer.Comment

I'm a locomotive engineer, and I have been with
the railroad for over 8 years. I enjoy my job.Last edited by Coach Bryant; 04-20-2007, 03:18 PM."What I would like for every football team to do that we play is to sit there and say, I hate playing against these guys." -Nick SabanComment

Re: The official "OS Occupation" Thread.
It really depends on where you live and work when it comes to UPS and school money. At my center, you have to be in part time management (which I'd be in if I hadn't gone to Iraq) to get all your tuition reimbursed. It's not a percentage; it's paid in full. In Oklahoma City, however, you can do the same job I do now and get your tuition paid for. It really comes down to what else is available in the area and what the turnover rate is at that particular center . . . High turnover = better education benefits.Back in the NCAA saddle after 17 years.Comment

Where I work you get up to $23k for school. For hourlies you get $3000/year and for management you get $4000/year.
Doesn't matter how long you've been working there. I know that the "Earn and Learn" program differs from place to place but that's how it works where I'm at.
Oh yeah, and you may say that UPS sucks but paying $49 a month for health, vision, prescription and dental is pretty damn good.Back in the NCAA saddle after 17 years.Comment
