Tugger is a good name, I've never heard it before.

Great thread idea, me and the wife just started talking about getting a dog. She wants a dog for the house, and I'd like to get one for the backyards. I've never had a dog in the house before, personally I've always considered them outside animals. So a question for you guys, how often do you bath your dogs, and how bad do they shed?

Boo. That's very lame, bro. Hopefully having an inside dog will change that horrible mindset.

We have our dogs groomed about four times a year. And even having a sheltie around the house, he doesn't shed nearly as much as you would think. In fact, our mutt (Leyla) sheds a lot more than Tugger does.

Bottomline: Having an inside dog is seriously no big deal.

I've never had a dog outside either, just never been one to own a dog. I've been eyeing some dogs that are up for adoption, hoping to get out and meet a few of them the next weekend they're at the local Pawtropolis.

I say keep them coming, I like seeing them. I like bath pics, although I don't think the dogs care for them that much. Here's a couple of mine in the bath:

This past Friday I bought a German Shepherd. He's four month's old, black and tan and will be huge. I've always liked them. My brother just bought a Labrador Retriever. Both are loyal, great dogs. But shopping for a dog with the girlfriend, it has it's challenges.

@Holic, there are dogs out there that DO NOT shed at all. I'm not sure if you were aware of this. Dogs like Poodles, Maltese, Bichon Friese and so on. Just letting you know.

Yeah Maltese dogs don't shed. They have hair very similar to human hair. They are very obedient and playful and are definitely house dogs. I just bought a pure bread maltese puppy for $700. He's as big as my foot! His name is Buster.

He's a pimp and he knows it.
