Medium Well to well done. I've never understood why people like to eat warm raw meat.

Because it has flavor, unlike meat cooked medium well or well done.

It doesn't taste like that to me. I've had it done rare and the blood just covered up the flavor.

Next time you get a steak, order it one or two ratings more raw than you normally do and see if you like it more.

I doubt having more blood would make it taste any better. My grandma likes it really bloody so if I'm with her I might try it.

There is a huge difference between really bloody and medium. Try it medium sometime, there should not be any blood running out.

Medium's the best, IMO.

The furthest I'd go is Medium Rare, any higher and I probably wouldn't enjoy it.

Depending on the restaurant, most "medium" is closer to a medium rare that you'd make at home. It's usually why, at least at a steak house, they give descriptions of each level once you order it, to let you know.

I would say most restaurants go the other way. Ordering "Medium" is closer to medium well than medium rare.

Yah I agree. I always find restaurants err on the side of caution. I always order Medium Rare at a restaurant and usually get a Medium.

I never order steak out. I have a Weber Genisis grill and an excellent butcher around the corner. Filets rare/medium rare with spicy dry rub and a gorgonzola spread melted on the last minute. 3 minutes on each side Maximum heat and they are seared to perfection.

Well done usually... had medium/medium rare before, got sick with salmonella... never trying that again :P.
