Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Is it just me, or is the whole "keep in touch" line basically just BS?

I mean,if they(meaning friends or family) didn't want to do so,why bother saying something they don't mean? If they never said that in the first place,I would've never bothered doing so to begin with. So don't waste my time saying something you don't mean.

I mean if you tell me to add you on facebook and/or those messaging apps I told you I don't even have(but only got it cause those very ppl were like "get it so we can keep in touch!"), and then don't even bother to do the 1 thing they said they'd do.....

Facebook becoming an avenue of news sharing. It really feels impersonal to find out certain life events through that medium than picking up a phone and calling.

Well you cant trust your feelings. Successful Rships arent based on on just feelings. They may be involved but if thats all you got youre done for.

lol ya. I'd hope when people I know well actually tell me something, they actually do mean it and aren't just saying something for sake of saying it. If they say something or say they're gonna do something, I'll obviously believe them right away and take their word for it.

Well just wondering, are you doing your part in keeping in touch? Do you send out messages to your friends and family too?

Ya. I actually do more of the work. Some people I might message often, others I might message once every few weeks or few months. Depends on the person I'm messaging, how close we are, and more importantly, how often they even respond.

No point in messaging someone if they can't be bothered to respond back. I've known people like that. THEY start the conversation, but then don't even bother replying back after my first response to them. Others, they're more of those people who won't ever initiate any conversation, but once you initiate it with them, they have abunch to talk about(almost like they're expecting me to always be the first one to say something, and if I'm not, then they won't ever)

Maybe it's abit of a "Canadian thing" too lol. Always finding it impolite to not respond back asap or not answer the phone or something lol.

Whenever I see co-op when it relates to games. Co-op is short for Coin Operated as in arcade machines. Multiplayer or MP should be referred to as such.

It also stands for co-operative which is pretty accurate for how it's used.

I only remember seeing coin-op, don't think I've ever seen co-op used as an abbreviation for coin-operated.
