One of my biggest pet peeves is people who are too damn lazy to take their shopping cart back. I mean really, yesterday I saw a lady who left her cart in the middle of the parking lot when the cart return was literally 10 feet away from her.

I guess it keeps jobs open for the cart pushers, but damn, it really shows you why this country is considered so fat and lazy.

I think I encountered all of my pet peeves today while grocery shopping. At this point, I really hate people in general which is ironic considering that my job involves working to help people's lives get better. I live in the same hometown I grew up in. Growing up, this was a great place to live as it had people who cared about each other and were hard working. Ever since the casino opened up, we've had an influx of lazy bastards who only care about themselves, are dumber and dumber, and expect everybody to do everything for them. Laziness has just exponentially increased.

Anyway, the big pet peeves were people shopping with their children and not doing one god damned thing to keep them in check. They're running all over the place, getting in the way, and just being loud and obnoxious. One bitch's child ran right into my shopping cart (which was on the proper right side of the aisle) and fell down. The woman looked at me expecting me to apologize. She gave me some attitude and said "You should watch where you're going". I simply said "You should watch your children and tell them not to run around in public. You're just lucky I'm not an automobile." I just walked on.

The entire time I'm shopping, people are going down the aisles side-by-side effectively blocking off any movement at all. They're also moving down the left hand side when you're supposed to be walking down the right hand sides of each aisle. They stop to talk to friends both in person, and on their phones, and refuse to move when they're standing right in front of where you want to pick up an item. In addition, they have no respect or courtesy for anybody else, and act insulted when they are asked to move.

I just friggen hate people. Hate them.

LOL, funny post and so true. Everyone seems to have a sense of entitlement, especially the soccer moms who take their six kids grocery shopping as they yell and scream around the store. It's mind boggling.

I hate when people throw around the other f-word (rhymes with maggot). I don't know, I just think it's really disrespectful, ignorant, and idiotic.

I agree. I also hate people using the word gay and ********(got censored, the R word for mentally challenged) in everyday vocabulary. "That is so gay/********".

Yeah, and at my local Market District Giant Eagle they can't even use the excuse that it's to cold or it raining because it has an undergound parking garage beneath the store. The laziness of some people bugs me too. People who cross in the middle of a busy street 10-20 yards from the crosswalk. People who get on a bus only to get off at the very next stop 200 yards down the road.

Alot of stores where I live you have to put coins into the shopping cart to unlock them. You get your money back when you bring it back to the corral. This considerably lowers the amount of runaway carts in the parking lot.

Halifax, Nova Scotia. We had them in a few grocery stores years ago then they dwindled down and now they are turning up again.

No it's not.......Aldi's is like that, so is Cub Foods and a couple other grocery chains. Nobody wants to go looking for a damn quarter to use a shopping cart.

All it does is cause people to go else where. When Aldi's started that, their customer base dropped 20% and people went grocery shopping at Walmart instead.

Well where I work I see those damn carts everywhere...and by that I mean in backyards and up against fence lines. People walk home with the cart then keep it.

Since I was in high school friends and people that barely know me have always turned to me for advice. I've gotten used to being that person to others.

Going through it now with two females and I'll tell you it is beyond frustrating. People just don't listen. They ask me for advice on men and then turn against everything I told them only to wonder why it didn't work out.

There are two types of people on this Earth: those that ask for and seek advice and those that offer and give it. And there is no reserve clause. You are bound to that group once you establish which you belong to.

Yup, and it sucks when your trying to find a parking spot, you find one, and as you start to turn in there is a cart right in the middle.

Well I advise you to stay away from 24 hour Walmart super centers. They have carts EVERYWHERE in the parking lot. People are just lazy. How hard is it to walk your cart to the nearest collection bin ?

Another thing about Walmart carts are that they are very LIGHT, so the slightest wind blowing will send one of their carts rocketing into a parked car. I remember last year around this time, it was very windy on Black Friday but yet no snow on the ground and it had to have been at least 30 cars get hit by Walmart shopping carts being blown around.

That store manager damn near got fired over that. But I heard the cart pushers did get fired over that though for not collecting carts in a timely matter. Which I think is total BS.

The parking lot of a 24 hour Super Walmart is HUGE. And most Walmarts only have 2 cart pushers. No way in the world can you gather all those carts in less than 3 hours. When you think of all the damn walking you got to do, wait for cars to get out of your way and crap.
