Works in driving situations too, you see someone stopped and you're unsure what they're doing, you give it a moment and hope the guy sticks his arm out the window to waive you by but you get nothing. So you wait... nothing happens, and you don't want to sit around all day so you go around them and they starting going right when you're parallel to them. Happens over and over and it drives me crazy.

The grocery store is a great example. I hate trying to read people's mind, they slow down to look at something and you turn your cart to go around them, then right as you're even with them they decide not to stop after all and you both end up walking side by side down the aisle and you need to drop back so you're not clogging the path for the opposite direction... then they slow down to look again

It absolutely baffles me how many people use the expression "over/under" with no numerical value attached and have no clue what they're talking about. And then some say "well I'm not a gambler", well then don't use the expression. Just say what are the odds/chance, not what's the over/under.

I usually time my grocery trips around times where I know it's going to be dead. Early morning on days off, or evenings around 8 pm.

but even still there's always someone right in the yogurt aisle with their cart, just parked right in front of the Dannon Oikos greek yogurts I want to get, just standing there indecisively looking at all the Yogurts.

Which usually leads to that awkward moment where I reach over their cart, to get my yogurts.

          Typos grind my gears.

I received this email yesterday from a Pelicans ticket rep:

          Spoiler

Notice #3. I would have been all in at that price, but it sounded too good to be true (obviously). When I called he said it was a typo and the real price was $150 per ticket. I still think that's a good price, but I couldn't pass on the $25 deal. He didn't really try to sell me on anything after I said no thanks so I don't think it was a bait and switch... just a legitimate mistake, but I was still kind of disappointed.

I don't understand why they made him so obnoxious.

I'm also tired of the Jimmy Kimmel "this new years eve will be so awesome" commercial but that's probably my own fault for watching too much espn

Parents who let their kids run wild inside of banks and stores. This lady yesterday literally just stood there as her 3 kids was running all over the place screaming, yelling and knocking stuff over. She didn't say anything to them at all.

People bitching about spoilers...and particularly movies. If you don't want to see anything about the marketing, watch any trailers, etc. Then why are going into a thread discussing that movie after a pretty revealing thing came from it. Because the discussion is most likely going to be about that.

Now social media, like Facebook and Twitter, is a different animal and I get that. It happened to me with Game of Thrones. I haven't had HBO for a while and have been watching it on and off. I'm at the beginning of the 2nd season. But couple weeks ago saw there new promotional poster for this next season and the stuff surrounding it. So I get why people are mad when stuff gets spoiled.

Well Moby Dick and the movie should be pretty different as the Essex is about surviving in a small boat for 100+ days. Moby Dick isn't based on the Essex. It inspired the book as the whale plays a small part of the entire Essex journey.
