Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

    I'm sick of "VERY MAD."

We (should) have the best level of culture and quality of life in human history and everyone wants to bitch incessantly about **** that doesn't matter even at all.

    Bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch.

This is what happens though when people are rewarded for bitching. More people will bitch because they see it will get them "places."

In this case, this guy's working hard to provide a life for himself and his family. It's nobody's business either "pro" or "con." I put those in quotes because it's VERY dumb that there is a "pro" and "con" even at all.

I was once mocked in high school during an English class for working at an ice cream shop by a guy whose family owned four or five Lamborghinis. Very loudly, I told him to eat dicks and that at least I'm not going to live off my parents for the rest of my life. That was it. Life went on.

We're now taught that we're supposed to care about everything that happens to everyone and everything. About 99.8% of the things that people bitch about don't concern anyone else. The incessant nationalization and globalization of stories online has destroyed us.

People need to just shut the **** up. Give it a damn rest already. THAT'S what's the gear grinder.

People posting crying-laughing emojis for literally anything that is even mildly amusing. Mostly on official Instagram pages. Like, yeah, official Oakland A's Instagram page, that meme is kinda clever, but no one is crying laughing at that ****.

Welp, just had a gear grinder I haven't experienced in a long time.

So I went to Wal-Mart to buy some things. I'm in a lineup and this person has seemingly half the food in the store at the checkout. It was INSANE. If that wasn't enough, halfway through the checking out process the cashier said no one else could use that checkout and to go to the next one. I was waiting for at least 5 minutes and that happened!

I really wanted to give her what for but I was hot and tired so I just went to the other checkout.

Wow, I'd be pretty peeved too. I don't think I've ever heard someone that was actually in line be told to go to another lane. I've seen it where they close the lane and someone tries to sneak in but not if they were in line when it closed.

I'd guess it's because that person had ALOT of things and the cashier wanted to leave the second their shift was up.

Most I've seen is cashiers calling people into the next line if a new one is now opening up. But not just closing down like that.

A gear grinder I'll add here, the "back to school" traffic. Everyone gets used to how the roads have been past few months, now forgetting what it's like to have all these cars and people all over the place again. What makes it worse is that today is garbage day in my neighborhood, so along with extra cars, people and school buses, you also have garbage trucks on the roads that you have to try driving around(because they're stopping to pick up garbage) which is hard when it's 1 lane going each way and the other side has cars almost nonstop.

I'm weird, I feel like excessive cryface emoji usage devalues it's effect, the same way profanity loses effect. If you drop f bombs all the time, and then you actually want to show how upset you are about something, no one actually knows because you always use F bombs. If you find something mildly humorous and use the maximum laughing indication every time, how can you display your extreme laughing response to something if you always use it regardless of how funny something actually is?

Messy people/people who can't put things back properly/where(and how) they found it.

Sure, part of it is OCD, but it still bothers me when people do this. Can be applicable to many things, but in my case it's just basic things like items in a fridge, on a shelf at home or in a grocery store and so on. If you take something, is it so hard to put it back where you found it? Especially if you're only using or moving that item for maybe a few seconds or minutes. Somehow it ends up in a completely different location,at times one that doesn't even make sense.

And even worse if people make a mess and don't bother cleaning up much(if any) of that mess.

Bothers me too when I actually tell people about that and they have that "I don't have time for that" attitude, as if it takes so much extra time or though to literally put something back where you found it a few seconds or minute ago.
