Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
It really grinds my gears when...
- People have more than 10 items in the express lane (especially when there is 3 different signs saying "10 items or less").
- People assume you don't know what your doing, when you're actually doing it the "right way."
- People feel the need to make their opinion known about every little thing. I mean the world doesn't need to know every detail about you and how you feel on even the smallest of things.
- The cable/internet goes out for no reason. Especially when I'm watching a live sporting event (NFL, MLB, etc.).
- People like a sports team and one (or more) of their rivals. (Ex. Someone who likes the Bears and Vikings, or Yankees and Red Sox, or Avalanche and Red Wings, etc.)Colorado Avalanche (NHL)
Denver Nuggets (NBA)
Green Bay Packers (NFL)
Iowa Hawkeyes (NCAA)
Minnesota Twins (MLB)
Tennessee Volunteers (NCAA)Comment

Online sports games. NBA 2K8 sucks, NCAA sucks, they all suck. The responsiveness is horrible. There shouldn't be a delay whatsoever!
Halo has no delay!Comment

That show Around the Horn.
I can barely stand to watch it anymore because Tony's scoring makes almost no sense at all. So, instead of actually relaxing and enjoying some sports commentary, I'm spending all my time critiquing Tony's bizarre, seemingly random point system.I am become death
Do not underestimate my apathy
Chances guys who claim a game sucks will cease posting in a forum devoted to that game: 3%Comment

Sports Talk Radio Show Hosts.
The Bud Light Real Men of Genius guys just did a commercial on this, but I can't stand most of these guys. You know they're completely unathletic and have no experience in any sport, but they talk about it like they are the end all being of sports knowledge.
My old friend is the perfect example of this. He couldn't dribble a basketball to save his life. He threw a football from the tip of the cone so it went end over end and he would cower like a little girl if you threw a baseball at him, but *** **** if he didn't come home every day spouting off some mumbo jumbo that he heard off some station as if it was his own like he was gods gift to all knowledge that is sports.Comment

Bad officiating.
How hard is it to stand behind a Punt Returner and watch for a fair catch call?Comment

We live in America. If you do not speak English, get out.
When our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, etc.. are recreated and written in Spanish, then you have an argument. Until then, learn our Language or move back to your home Country.Comment

You are aware that there's no official langauge for a reason, right?Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
But, I do not understand this post at all. Let's same someone immigrates here from China, and their entire life they've spoken Chinese and they don't know the English language, they should leave our country? That's bogus.
We're not fascists, who are we to say what language everyone should speak?Blind to this impending fate

This line of discussion is just steamrolling down some political path.
Soooo...lets go elsewhere, guys. Somebody say something about some jackass driver that cut you off today, or some jar of pickles that didn't open easily.Comment

I know the story behind Matrix's post, the customer he was helping was a dick, so I could understand where he was coming from.

If you want to come live here, fine. But don't migrate over he and give me **** when I can't understand what you are saying.
Just a few weeks ago. I went to get a soda from a Pizza place in the mall. Some Chinese lady was working the register and I swear to god I stood there for 5 minutes trying to order a soda. Not only did she not speak a word of English, but she didn't even attempt to try and understand what I was saying. I said "Large Mountain Dew" at least 40 times and even pointed at the cup and Mountain Dew logo.
She just looked at me as if I were from Mars.Comment
