Its the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I'm not knocking online dating or meeting someone online (It's the year 2012) .. just the fact that you can fall in love with a girl you have just met, from miles away.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, "What really grinds my gears are FaceBook whores and teenage kids who don't know the meaning of the word love".
I never really got the whole E-dating thing either, and don't understand how someone can have an Online Girlfriend, and maintain that relationship having never met in person.

Even though it's not my thing I can understand meeting someone through an Online dating site, or singles network.. open a line of communication first, and then set up meetings in person, and dates.

but having someone living in NY, having an E-girlfriend in Cali, talking through IM, or through Facebook every day is just ridiculous, and you claim to be in love... Lol. How do you even know what she really looks like? Pics can lie, she might have gained weight since then, she might not even be a chick at all! It just seems so juvenile, like that's the kind of thing you did in like 7th, 8th grade just to claim to your buddies you had a girlfriend.

I have a friend I worked with several years ago. He met his current wife online and she is from Indiana. He moved there and they have a 4 year old daughter and expecting another.

My mom worked with a guy who met a lady online, who is from China. She came to visit, then they moved to China and have three kids.

I know its possible for some, but I would never say I loved someone I have never met in person.. thats really where my gripe was at.

I have this chick on facebook that told me for a couple of days that she was so sad and depressed because she told to her online "boyfriend" the day before that she didn't wanted to chat with him but now she regreted it and she still loves him. A day later they reconciliate and she post several statuses on Facebook how much she loves him and that her life is amazing. A week later she told me that her new boyfriend was going to dump her because he wanted to be with his old girlfriend, that she was crying for days and that her life is over, etc. A day later she tells me they are back again and how her life is amazing. Now she spams with statuses saying how they are in love, how a nice dinner they had together and how great they were the other night. I can't believe this crap.

While I was in the military, I had one of my troops meet a guy overseas in a mission related chat room. They started "dating", fell in love, and got engaged, all through the chat room. When hiss tour was over, he came to meet her, and broke it off. Part of me thought it was hilarious, but I also just felt kind of sad for her. I still don't know if the guy was messing with her the whole time, or not.

When people say, "what's good, man?"

A lot of things are good, man.

Also when celebs ask on Twitter, "In SD tonight! What's poppin?!"

A lot of things are "poppin", man.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

When you pay for expedited shipping for a package, it's out for delivery on time, you wait ALL ******* DAY, AS TO NOT MISS THE DELIVERY....6 hours later you think: hmmm, this is taking longer than usual, lemme check the tracking. The tracking info says "The customer was not available on the 1st attempt. A 2nd attempt will be made." Go to the front door...no missed delivery notice....go to the mailbox, no missed delivery notice.

I call up UPS, calmly explain my situation to the lady, and she says she'll forward the complaint to "them" and "they'll" get back to me within the hour. Cool.

Thirty mins later, some dude calls and asks me if I want to come to the facility to pick up my package. I explain that I don't have a missed delivery slip, and he says that's fine as long as I have ID. Then he says "you can come pick up your package between 8 and 9:30 tonight" -- I say "wait, hold on, is it still on the truck?" he says "yes sir, it's still on the truck," so naturally, I ask "can't he just make another delivery attempt? I was here the entire time, I don't know how he magically missed me earlier AND!!! conveniently 'forgot' to leave a slip." Dude tells me "no, he's way-WAY far from you, and there's a heat wave, when there's a heat wave we give the drivers less work."

Now...I'm not insensitive to how uncomfortable it might be for a delivery man in a heat wave. But the UPS facility is almost an hour away, and I'm told that I have to wait over three hours just for the ability to pick up the package that was never brought to my house, the same package that I specifically paid to have shipped in an expedited fashion cause I won't even be here next week; and seeing as how the natural delivery date was next week, and the "2nd" attempt at a delivery is next week....I now have to sacrifice my friday night to go pick up something....that I paid to have delivered, to my front door, today.

Rant over. I gotta hit the road.

I like meeting and interacting with females online. It sucks that they're nowhere close to me but I mean, I'm not interested in the chicks here in LA and these chicks are interested in the things I'm interested in so what am I gonna do?

Was chatting/Skyping with a chick in France for a few weeks actually. Pretty crazy. Sucks that nothing would come of it but then again, it's 2012.

People meet people off the internet. I don't find much taboo about that anymore. My aunt met her (now deceased) husband online and they were the definition of soulmates.

My wife and I met through the internet 4 years ago and we've been happily married since 2010.

Do you actually believe that all chicks in LA are crazy, high maintenance, superficial bitches?

I think your generalization isn't helping you at all.

                            You don't live here.

Obviously I don't know every single female that lives in the greater Los Angeles era, but I can literally count the number of "cool" chicks that I've met here on one hand. Those are unbelievable exceptions, and not the rule whatosver.

Never been on the West Coast, but the stereo type vibe I get from LA chicks, is that they are in general stuck up, snotty (word that rhymes with itches) Who act and dress way more expensive than they are actually worth, trying to be the next "Hills" celebrity. Overly fake tans, knock off Louis Vuitton hangbags, designer shop clothes, and they change boyfriends probably as much as they change their socks, week to week.

Is this stereo-type I'm conjuring up in my head off?
