    Another thing to mention.....

When it seems like every tv channel is running commercials at same time. I can understand at :59 or :29 (since it's 1min before next show starts) but lets say it's 8:06 for example or something like that, and one show goes to commercial break, I'd switch to another channel during the break, but that has a commercial too, I switch to another channel and it also has commercial, I'd switch to another channel and it also has commercial, I'd switch to another channel and it has commercials too!

Hundreds of channels, and it seems like almost all of them are airing commercials at the same time.

I can't stand when this happens. Drives me nuts.

The girls out at a concert, I got off relatively early... And I can't find a thing to do. Doesn't help that my car is still in the shop.

The other 6 days of the week I have to blow everyone off because I work early usually. Like come on!

Blame advertisers, money and formulaic writing to adhere to advertiser expectations so the network can make money.

ESPN thinking they need to send out a "breaking news" alert that Chris Paul is EXPECTED to sign a new deal with the clippers. Do we really need to know that he MIGHT sign this late at night.

After previously just having to work 8-5 on the 4th, our schedule got changed up and now I work 12 to 9 P.M., so just like Easter, I get to miss the majority of the day with my family. Fun.

I've always heard "When in doubt, go to Stout" personally. Either way, I suppose.

Wait, you're mad at them for reporting news in a timely fashion because it doesn't happen to fit around your sleeping schedule?

It's the Clips. I don't see how their 19 fans could have bothered him... let alone in Tejas.

Yet we complain that ESPN only covers the Heat.

Breaking news is usually information that is a significant event. Not information from a "source" that someone MIGHT VERBALLY agree to sign. He hasn't signed, he hasn't even verbally agreed yet. There is literally no news here. Send the update when there is actually ink on paper and post this "story" as an article on the website and ticket.

It doesn't fit in with the sleep schedule of 95% of East Coasters who got the update at 11:30 at night.

Don't you have the option to, you know, not get those breaking news alerts ?

I could sort of see how it could be a gear grinder since it wasn't exact "breaking news", but it just seems like that's the price you pay for wanting to know everything going on with sports at 11:30, when you're trying to sleep.

I'm actually on my way to turning off ESPN breaking news alerts. They send far too many alerts that have no story attached.

I agree. It's not breaking news if there isn't any news.

Also their news is super late. Chris Paul to sign deal with Clippers? That was reported much earlier in the weekend.

                              Poker on ESPN.

I dread the day ESPN starts airing UNO tourneys, or Monopoly.

I used to like watching the WSOP.

Far more entertaining than golf or tennis, even if its not a sport.
