Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

I have read comics like the one Ubernoob posted before, and they are so spot on.

I have a step-cousin that married a guy in the Navy. He is off doing things most of the year and she does not work. Just a stay at home mom, looking exactly like the women in the comics.

And yup, every single day she sits on facebook and just goes on and on and on about how it's so hard to be a Navy wife and leaches onto every achievement of his because she herself does nothing.

Sure raising a kid counts, and I get that. But to make someone else's life yours in that sense, and acting like you are the one that attended the training, went on the ship, put your *** on the line, etc... is just ridiculous.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with being proud of your significant other but a lot of girls hold their man's military status up as a trophy.

Being a military wife is definitely tough, but the guys actually out there win out easy for toughest job. I'd be kind of offended by those stickers if I were in the service. I get it, but it would (and does) bother me a bit.

Outside of seperation, which is something you just have to accept, It's really not that hard. That's why guys really need to be more careful than what they are. Women jump on military guys all the time because it's a "way out".

This girl I went to school with for my entire life met a guy from Colorado who was in the Army. He was stationed in Hawaii so they get married and she can move out there with him. A year later, they're divorced and she's met another Army guy out there and is living with him.

Of course that's not always the case, but bitches be crazy and dudes be naive. You have to keep your ear to the ground.

Stay at home people overall just irk me - especially the ones who brag about it or claim it is the most difficult thing ever.

Yes, BUT, being a housewife(or husband) is not an easy task, by any means. If you have 3+ kids, it can be daunting. Every situation is different though.

Well, yeah 3 kids out of school would be daunting. I hope to not have that many at the same age.

But, I don't like it when people feel the need to preach about how much work it is to be a stay at home wife (no kids). There's only so much laundry and cleaning to be done in a week.

Put clothes on your kids people. If you're at home, do whatever you want.

If you're coming into a dealership to try and buy a car, at least put a ****ing shirt on them.

It doesn't surprise me. I try and look presentable when I leave my house, but some people are cool leaving the house with lounge wear and flip-flops.

When I see people wearing pajama bottoms in public I just assume they have hit rock bottom.

I guess that would explain the missing teeth.

I wore flip flops in public during the summer, up until this year.

My nice Sperry flip flops broke on me and I didn't purchase anymore before the summer starter. I can take my shoes off and it looks like I never even took my socks off. It's not worth it to try to even fix that now.

I don't even like wearing pajama bottoms in my own home. I've got some that are really nice too.

                            Same.

Speaking of another gear grinder does anyone else see the add in the top right hand corner of this website with the horrendous looking infected foot?
