That bugs me too. My roommate tells me how much money I waste on video games and beer, yet she has about 10 designer handbags and 20 different flip flops, and that's only about 30% of her total shoe collection.

Then, the little money she has left she spends on trips to NYC and can barely afford to feed herself. Not to mention the food comes from restaurants instead of grocery stores, so that's more money that could have been saved.

This brings me to my next pet peeve, hypocrites.

I think I encountered all of my pet peeves today while grocery shopping. At this point, I really hate people in general which is ironic considering that my job involves working to help people's lives get better. I live in the same hometown I grew up in. Growing up, this was a great place to live as it had people who cared about each other and were hard working. Ever since the casino opened up, we've had an influx of lazy bastards who only care about themselves, are dumber and dumber, and expect everybody to do everything for them. Laziness has just exponentially increased.

Anyway, the big pet peeves were people shopping with their children and not doing one god damned thing to keep them in check. They're running all over the place, getting in the way, and just being loud and obnoxious. One bitch's child ran right into my shopping cart (which was on the proper right side of the aisle) and fell down. The woman looked at me expecting me to apologize. She gave me some attitude and said "You should watch where you're going". I simply said "You should watch your children and tell them not to run around in public. You're just lucky I'm not an automobile." I just walked on.

The entire time I'm shopping, people are going down the aisles side-by-side effectively blocking off any movement at all. They're also moving down the left hand side when you're supposed to be walking down the right hand sides of each aisle. They stop to talk to friends both in person, and on their phones, and refuse to move when they're standing right in front of where you want to pick up an item. In addition, they have no respect or courtesy for anybody else, and act insulted when they are asked to move.

I just friggen hate people. Hate them.

Yeah, I hate pretty much everything about grocery stores.

Since we're on pronunciation pet peeves, people who pronouce Car-NAY-gie like Car-ne-GIE (Yeah I know, only we Pittsburghers use that pronunciation). I remember when I was a senior in high school and went to Allegheny College for a preview visit and my host from from Rochester, NY. We were walking around with a friend of his from Latrobe, PA and we got to talking about "Pittsburghese". Also, one time another friend of mie from Dubois, PA told me they were serving Gyros for lunch at the food court, except he pronounced it like "Heros" whereas I pronounce the Gy- like the Gi- in Giants. So I thought, okay they're serving hoagies today and was rather disappointed when I got to the food court and say they were serving Gyros.

Actually you don't pronounce the G at all in Gyro. It is pronounced Yee-roh.

Listen to her if you want, that's fine, but she's everywhere. And it bugs me.
