I don't mind the slideshows on Bleacher Report. I actually like them because the information is usually in a decent sized paragraph or a couple of smaller paragraphs. So it makes getting through the article much easier for me.Comment

I hate the "Answers.com" type ones that make you click 2-4 times to see all the info...give me a "show all" option I can scroll through and still read everything.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

How about a Top 10 list where you click the first two and then the 3rd, 7th and 10th ones have advertisements that you have to click to skip.Comment

I've been using NoScript for a bit now in conjunction with Adblock. NoScript takes some time getting use to and knowing what to allow on certain sites(OS for instance) but it's a great one two punch.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Long, winded, grammatically incorrect story about my most recent gear grinding experience.
SpoilerThe place I live in ran by the Navy Gateway Inn.
Our room keys are our military ID.
So each room has a main door that can be controlled by any of the occupant's ID and then there are two other doors that can only be controlled by the person/people who live there with their ID.
I lost my ID last week and it was missing for two days. I had to get a temporary card from them that expires within 24 hours. I recovered my ID and returned to the Inn to have my ID reprogrammed.
I get back to my room and my ID won't unlock the main door. Luckily, a roommate was here and let me in. My ID worked perfectly fine on my room door. So I take it back to them and explain the situation and the lady says that she will reprogram my ID again and to call her if I have any problems.
Of course, my ID still won't work on the main door so I call again and she says they are busy and I can check back later. That was a serious **** you to me so It kind of got under my skin a bit. So I decided just to go back over there. The lady tried explaining to me that my lock was bad and that the battery needed replaced. She said they would need to call a locksmith.
I politely explained that the temporary ID she gave me worked just fine and all of my roommates ID's work flawlessly. I then showed her how the magnetic strip on the back of my card had some damage and that may be the problem. So, she proceeds to reprogram my ID again and tells me to wait a bit and try it again and if not let them know.
So I got back and tried with no success. My roommates were in so I decided to let it go until today. I just left the dentist and decided to head back over there during lunch to see what's going on. I explain to the guy at the desk what all had happened and even gave him what I thought to be the possible explanation (the magnetic strip on the ID).
He tries giving me the same **** the lady did about a dead battery in the lock. I told him that wasn't the problem and he tried reprogramming my ID and told me to call if it didn't work. I said, "I'll ride back over there and walk up the stairs and try again, but I'm telling you that it's not going to work no matter how many times you reprogram it. It's a problem with the ID. Can you please just give me a temporary card to use or give me one for permanent use until I get a new ID made ?"
He didn't comprehend and insisted that I try. I walk out and tell them I'll be back in a few minutes because I'm not wasting my time calling back.
So I get back to the barracks and it doesn't work. I ride back over to the Inn for the hundredth time and tell him it didn't work. So he brings up the ****ing battery again, calls a locksmith, and informs me that I can ask someone on the first floor that works in the office to let me in.
I refused. I said, "I'm not doing that. I'm not having someone let me in my room every time I need to get in. I've explained what the problem is. You pointed to the barcode and chip in front of the ID and said it was perfectly fine, but the temporary cards you issue us don't have that. They only have the magnetic strip on the back of the card and on my ID, it's damaged. If you just give me a temporary card, I promise it will work and I won't be back over here today".
He agreed, but said that he knew the battery was dead and to call him back if I couldn't get in my room.
Temporary ID worked flawlessly on both doors.
****ing idiots. I just wish they would listen to me. It's not often that I'm so passionately positive I'm right about something like this, but I knew I was right and they weren't listening. I was polite, professional, and descriptive and they dismissed me every time. I even told the guy I didn't mean to keep beating a dead horse and telling him the same thing.
I won't go back. I'll just let my Chief know what's going on and the command can help me sort it out.
