Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Hearing a song on TV either during a game, or a commercial, not knowing what song it is, wanting to find out, but then forgetting where exactly I heard it later on so I can't go look up something like "song from ___ commercial".
Most recently, I did hear one,but don't remember commercial it was in, but it was mostly instrumentals(and I think some background chorus on it). Remembered hearing it in other places alot too,so it's probably some popular song that I just didn't hear beforeWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I been dealing with lower back pain for the last month. Stretching the hips and legs particularly the hamstrings are the key.

IT band syndrome is mine. Just started having pain in the side of the leg when running and the trainer at the gym is pretty sure that's it. I tried running again on Friday and was in pain walking all day Saturday, in particular up and down stairs. Better now, but I'm going to have to find alternatives by spring or hope it's better with enough stretching.Comment

I have a rolling pin type thing too but it doesn't compare to a good foam roller. I almost cry every time I use it but it's probably the best tool to help with recovery.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
The hip exercises seem to help me more, at least short term. I never had "on the verge of tears" pain using a roller or rolling pin, but I definitely felt it when I did it.
It's gotten better from the first time I had the pain. It took 2 days of wearing a knee brace before I could walk comfortably on level ground and another couple of days before stairs didn't cause problems. Now it's a day of the brace, I'm walking normal 2 days after and stairs feel fine on day 3. I'm hoping a good 2+ weeks off over Thanksgiving and exercises and then maybe it's down to just resting it the day I run and then I'm normal.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Ya,its the rocky theme..........
Really though, all i remember from it is the song had bass drums or something in background and some vocals(1 person(I believe a female) just making their voice go up and down going "ah,ah,ah,aaah,a,a") during it. No words during that piece, just a drum beat, the chorus, another beat ,the same chorusLast edited by Majingir; 11-17-2015, 07:55 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I have a bulging disc in my neck and lower back that just kill me. The one in my neck gives me pain between my shoulder blades and the one in my lower back is pressing on my sciatic nerve, giving me pain shooting down my right leg to my knee and in my hamstring to the back of my knee.
I've got to get an MRI scheduled to get an injection into my spine because of the lower back one.
I apparently have arthritis too in four spots, one from the neck, three from the lower back disc.
My chiropractor said I'm too young to have it in one of the spots but they're all from football injuries.

Arthritis is such a bitch. I had it in my wrist and fingers but it's almost all gone. Not sure what I did but I drink organic apple cider vinegar with water and honey every day so not sure of that was it.

Firing two people for theft and a third quitting because her hours were going to increase for a couple weeks until we hired replacements.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
All the criticism that celebrations get in sports. The most recent ones being the Bautista bat flip(talked/debated about at length by so many media stations), and the Cam Newton dance(having some stupid soccer mom letter about it going viral).
I can understand doing something directly to someone, like taunting/dancing directly to a player/team, but just doing your own celebration and then being bashed so much and bringing up so much "controversy" regarding it is just stupid.
Many times I just feel like it's older/traditionalist type of people who don't like the "new school" style of game/attitude out of players. They just want it to be so plain and boring. Hit a home run,put your bat down beside you,and run the bases. Score a touchdown, hand the ref the ball back, and go to your bench. Score a goal, skate back to your bench and sit down. Any kind of celebration, and suddenly the other team takes offense to it,and fans/media go crazy and bash it.
Ya, that's what sports needs, lets just make these players abunch of emotionless robots who don't have any sort of excitement towards a big moment in a game or season.Comment
