Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Sounds weird they wouldn't even want to drop it off somewhere. And after awhile it just gets randomly dropped off/signed for at a completely different location than the one they've been going to for past ___ days lol. Speaking of that, reminds me of the cable people. The company is like "they'll be there between 9am and 4pm" lol, that's a BIG window. Basically, they just expect you to wait around all day in middle of week for someone to fix your cable.
Just thought of one since it happened like 10-20 minutes ago. Door to door sales people in general are annoying. Ones who come here have something against my screen/storm door lol. It's not perfect/100% reliable, but it still locks. But somehow when they come to knock, they pull on the handle and the door doesn't open(because it's locked.....), and keep on pulling and pulling and pulling until they manage to pry it open, just to knock on the main door. Ya, go ahead and basically break the screen door constantly just to knock on the main door. If a door is locked, it's LOCKED, doesn't mean you have to pry it open just to knock.Last edited by Majingir; 06-02-2016, 03:59 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
lol, I meant the screen door before the main door. They wanted to knock on the main door instead of the outside screen door, but don't realize a screen door that doesn't open means it's LOCKED. Not the same person doing it I presume, cause various times over the months I've seen different people feel the need to pull hard on the screen door to get it to open.Comment

It's Canada. No one locks their doors. That's normal.Comment

Oh. Just imagined the facial expressions if an ATT guy just wandered into the house trying to push phone service on you.

MMORPGs that require you to buy the game full price and pay a monthly subscription. Black Desert Online got it right, but something like FFXVI, while interesting is 12$ a month. Elder Scrolls Online dropped their monthly charge recently as well.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Being behind someone in a franchised fast food line that has no idea what they want and continuously ask the cashier/person working "do you have....."
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Ditto to a T. Loved my job, and my boss but because of a dumb re-org I got a new boss who's a complete jerk.
Same exact job but because of him alone I want out.Last edited by kehlis; 06-10-2016, 01:22 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
One of my co-workers was promoted to supervisor a few months ago,
and out of nowhere I received an email last Saturday morning telling me starting Monday I will be doing a route of 10 stores for another ownership group of stores in New Jersey. No notice whatsoever. No chance tell the stores I was servicing. Nothing. The stores I were doing were either local or in the Philly area. Now I am driving almost 100 miles a day and going to stores that don't know me, have different rules and a different way of doing things. No more free reign to do what I know how to do and am damn good at.
I even got bitched at the other day for what time I left for the day. Left at 1:55 and my recap for the day said 2:15. How did he know? He was sitting in the parking lot of the store I was at. Didn't even tell me he was coming. If he did I would have obviously stuck around a little longer.
I get reimbursed for mileage and tolls so the way I look at it is my clock starts the minute the ignition is turned in my car. I have been leaving my house at 6:30 in the morning this week. At least an hour drive each morning. If you are paying me for drive time then my trip is the first hour of my day. Hour ride there, 6 hours in stores, hour ride home. If they don't like that then don't pay me for my driving.
The actual in store part of my job I enjoy, but all this new garbage can take a hike. I want out now.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
There are a select group of people I work with that would be able to keep me there for awhile, but I'd really have to consider moving on if it didn't go the way I'd want. Getting reorged could move me up, but I could end up reporting to someone I can't stand to work for.Comment
