Just want to co-sign Sbarro being the worst pizza chain. We had one at our student center and it was a poor excuse for pizza.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Anthony's Pizza is the ****ing worst.
They have been plaguing military installations for too long.
It's $25 to have a large pizza delivered less than a half a mile(I can walk there in 5 minutes and see the place from my place) and if you don't consume the pizza within 5 minutes (assuming you don't have to eat it with a spoon), it's cardboard.Comment

I'll be that guy too... The Papa Johns where I live is actually pretty good, I say where I live because I've actually had really bad Papa Johns before. It may be the same ingredients or who prepared it, but it's always good here. I prefer it over most of the local places.
The Domino's Stuffed Cheesy Bread is good too, although it's hit or miss whether it's good or average. I'll take a chance for time to time when I have a craving for bacon and jalapeno. I like the Screamin' Sicilian Pizza's for store bought and even DiGiorno Stuffed Crust pizza will do if I'm in a pinch.
I've never had Sbarro's or Anthony's.
Note: I'm on a diet and haven't had pizza in about a month... I love pizza. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Being married sometimes. My wife hardly ever acknowledges the things I do around the house at times. But you better believe the one thing I didn't do will be brought up and complained about. Happens all the time. She came home from work the other night and I had all the dishes and laundry done. Nothing. Earlier today she left some stuff on the basement steps that needed to go down. I went down without taking it and I get hassled for it. I didn't leave it there! Her excuse was "well I wasn't going down there at that time and you are down there more than me anyway."
Drives me insane. But as all men know, it's always our fault, right?

Nope, dishes, folding laundry, whatever needs done around the house will be finished. She is totally wiped out after a day working the crowds of grocery shopping and traffic.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My wife is up early Saturday morning and goes out and does the grocery shopping at that time. She usually is home anywhere from 1-4pm. I have learned while she is gone, this isn't time to video game and mess around. Just like clockwork, she will ask every time, so, what did you to today. Oh, I played a few games of Madden, NBA 2k, etc....lol.

I think it has a lot to do with who's making the pies at the time. They tried to make it uniform when I worked at at a PJ's, but we all had our own style. Mine was the best obviously. LOL
Also timing. If you order a pizza at certain times on certain days, you're gonna get varying degrees of ingredients. Also just random... if yesterday was a slow day, those fresh cut veggies weren't all used and will be recycled for day 2 and on. Not to mention the varying degrees of goodness that the veggies originally came in to the store at.
Same for cheese and dough. If the GM can't forecast their store's food prep/inventory well, you'll get over proofed or, yes, expired dough. Cheese may sometimes be frozen or at least a lot colder then it should be going in to the oven producing a different consistency and color.
It's a science yo!
Also, since I ran the day shift by myself (most stores do... we were 3rd busiest in the region and did it) with just one driver from open (11) to 4, if we got a random surge sometimes quality would suffer as I rushed to help a customer at the register, answer a call, pull and cut a pizza out of the oven, and stretch, sauce, and top/cheese a pizza. Plus any other things that come up during a day. Restocking, signing off on deliveries, customer complaints, etc.
Getting a subpar pizza is a total bummer, no doubt. But overworked and underpaid is sometimes the reason, not laziness and not caring. I took pride in my pizzas because I love pizza and wanted others to be happy with their orders.
A wise man once said, forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza. Cowabunga, dudes.Last edited by slickdtc; 04-27-2016, 11:39 AM.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Complaining that comes from EA Sports Fans, I shouldn't call them fans because they certainly wouldn't call themselves fans but for some strange reason buy the same sports games year after year, just to complain year after year.Comment
