Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Those people at stores who try to get you to sign up for that stores membership card. When I tell them no, they ask if I want to be, and I still say no, and then they are like "but you're buying ___,____,. You could save $__ on it". And I'm like "I don't want a card". And they still don't leave you alone at times.

Funny thing that happened too, someone was trying to get people to sign up,and they asked me and I said no, and then they start asking me all these random questions like "can I see your ID". So I said I didn't have it on me. And then they're like "how do you not have ID? Are you not from around here?". lol, I just walked away after that. Like I'd show some random stranger my ID in the middle of a store for no reason at all....

Those people are annoying. Just ask someone if they want it,if they say no, that's it,just move on. Don't start bothering them so much. They're lucky I'm not rude, cause I see people all the time just lashing out at these types of people for bugging them so much.

Those people have bosses who force you to be relentless about those cards and if you aren't you get in trouble. And if you don't get enough people to sign up for them, you get in trouble. So probably just humor them man.

Exactly. I saw people get fired for not offering store membership cards.

That's usually how they're designed. Detroit is marked for walkers on left and standers on right. I didn't know there was a rule on those that you had to walk.

Though I will say I don't like when on really tall escalators you wind up behind a couple of people who won't let you by. I don't really want to stand there forever.

I worked in the Steel building downtown (the tallest building in the skyline from PNC park) for three years and to get from the entrance to the security level to get into the building there's a pretty long escalator that moves fast to take you up.

It was widely know that if you weren't moving you stayed to the right to let those on the left pass.

It was hilarious though, you could always tell when someone wasn't familiar with the building or was new to hit because they would just hang out on the left and people would get visibly mad.

They have markers and even an automated voice telling you how to do it in a couple airports I've been in. I think Cincinnati was one.

This one I see a lot here.

When people put CST when daylight savings is still here for a month, or put EDT in the middle of winter. Yes, I know, it's pretty easy to figure out they really just mean central or eastern, but still bothers me.

Ohhhhhhh THAT'S the difference between CST/CDT and EST/EDT?! I can't believe I didn't know that. I may be an idiot. I always just figured they were different names (and thus, acronyms) for the same thing.

It is my belief that procrastinate people have a higher clutch rating in life.

All of papers/homework I waited until the last second to do prepared me for the tight deadlines to get the various ad-hoc projects they assign me at work done in a short amount of time.

                            Completely agree.

I used to try to do work in advance, but I never focused on it because there was no urgency. So it ended up being ****ty work and I would have to redo it anyway. So I just came to accept procrastination and pulling all-nighters rather than waste hours going into it with work that I wouldn't keep anyway.

At least you guys did have unlimited usage for the longest while. In Canada,it wasn't until recently that nobody even gave an option of unlimited usage on internet. Now, it's available as a super premium bundle, or just an add on with any plan.

Competition is good for reasons like that. I'm sure if USA didn't have competition among internet providers, companies would be able to get away with having limits, and forcing people to pay extra for unlimited.
