    ATT... again

I've been dabbling with Sling TV, and I want to be careful about my data usage since I have a 150GB limit, so combined with Netflix and Hulu streaming I want to make sure I don't go over my limit, but every time I log into the site to check my usage I get a message that the info is unavailable.

Today I got a letter from ATT that I've gone over my limit and will be charged $10 for going over and $10 more for every 50GB more I go over. How the hell am I supposed to budget my usage if they won't provide me the information of how much I've used?

Come to think of it, this reminds me of the trick math problem when you're a kid, something like 7x=? and the answer is "not enough information" except in this instance instead answering the question ATT jumps in with PAY MORE MONEY! THE ANSWER IS PAY MORE MONEY!

Pay or I'll transfer you to someone else who will tell you to pay or they'll transfer you to someone else who will tell you to pay...

I'm on to you customer service, your time will come

Comcast is switching to this billing method in the future. I don't get advertising speeds of 75mb down and up when they're going to hit you with a 150GB(in your case) or a 300GB cap(in my case with Comcast). Any more with Netflix, Hulu, Steam, PSN/Xbox Live along with Youtube and other things you're going to be near some caps.

People who go into the self check out lanes without any type of clue how to work the machine.

People who park in the fire lane. I can't tell you how much I see this. As a cop I actually picked up a secondary job where they wanted an officer to just patrol this strip mall to make people move out of the fire lane. You think it would be easy, right? Well after about 10 cars in 10 minutes I realized it was going to be a long night. Never signed up for that job again. I didn't write any tickets bc I didn't care that much I just wanted to keep the peace. It was ridiculous how many people got an attitude.

To go even further...the Food Lion in the area I patrol BOLTED DOWN orange cone things in their fire lanes!!! It was that big/constant of an issue! They had to take them out though...I think corporate said it wasn't a good look.

Why don't those self checkout things have a back/cancel button in case you touch the wrong icon? At least the ones at the CVS by me don't seem to have them. Had to go pick up a couple things yesterday and when I got to the self-checkouts the first screen asks you to select language and I accidentally hit "Espanol" instead of "English" and there didn't appear to be a way to back out or cancel. (Or maybe there was, but I don't know what the Spanish work for "cancel" or "exit" is). Anyway, I just moved over to one of the other 2 self-checkouts that were empty, 2-3 people walked up to the one I had accidentally selected "Espanol" on stared at it for a minute not knowing what to do then went to the remaining empty self-checkout or got in line at the counter until eventually a cashier came out and reset it.

As for the fire lane, wouldn't the bolted down orange cones have blocked emergency vehicles from parking there in the event of an emergency as well as preventing the idiots from parking there illegally?

Technically speaking......there should always be a veteran cashier watching over the self check out lanes to make sure of:

                    1. People actually pay for everything they have.

                    2. To help people that are having problems using the machine.

That is how it is with all the grocery stores around me. The self check out lanes are never left unattended.

The machines in my local Kroger are downright awful, the other day every other item made the scale screw up so the cashier had to reset them. Luckily they are building a new one across the street so they will get new ones soon.

Narcos and House of Cards is worth the money for Netflix.

The main reason I cut Netflix from my budget and went to Hulu. I can take a 10$ a month charge, but the selection is pitiful movie wise. I don't want to watch Crocodile Dundee 2 Netflix

I mostly use Netflix for original programming and documentaries. The service is also good at putting up lesser known movies that don't always find their way to HBO or Showtime. We Are the Best! comes to mind. It's a Swedish film that without Netflix I'd probably never have the opportunity to see.

It's all preference, though. Everyone has different needs.
