I have no clue why they were doing it. Maybe it was some sort of special incentive.

Yeah he told me it was to keep residents from going to Alabama and buying a car there so Mississippi residents didn't pay sales tax.

Mississippi has a rule that if you buy a car there but will use it out of state within 48 hrs permanently you don't have to pay sales tax but I registered my car in Mississippi.

People/drivers who treat parking lots like race tracks. Was at Publix earlier today, lady driving a mini van almost hits an older guy putting his cart back when turning, then almost rear ends someone leaving. Lady, the buy one get one free special on Dorito's will be there, calm down.

I think it's a marketing ploy. You see a cheaper price and you get it not thinking about taxes. Will you buy a tv at $499 or the real price of $550? Studies show you're more likely to buy it at $499.

My fiance falls for that big time and it irks me hard. She'd tell me that tv is $400.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Posted my home gym on CL for $300 and it's a very fair price. I priced it to sell quick and made sure to put **PICK UP ONLY** in the ad. Get an email from a potential buyer and he says "I'll give you $200 and you have to drive 30 minutes to where I'm at"

I really want to be like "sure, meet you there @ 2pm". Then when he emails me of why I didn't show up I'd be like "Well I was pretty sure your offer wasn't real so either was my accepting of the deal".

Sold it the next day for $300 and they picked it up at my house.

I take my wife's car to the repair place to fix her car. We had an appointment today at 4. We've already had the estimate and I just have to drop it off and pick up my rental car. I get there and wait 15 minutes and they guy is like sorry we can't take your car until Monday. I was like WTF? I had an appointment, I drove 30 minutes to get here and I work Monday and Tuesday so I can't come back until Wednesday and he's like sorry see you Wednesday. It took all I could to not strangle him. I should have just blown up on him.

Got a new debit card in the mail. Called the activation number and it successfully activated. Tried it online for PSN, didn't work. Tried to use the old card, can't use that either. Called the activation number again, again it says activated. Tried it online again, again it failed. Gotta go to the bank Monday to figure it out. PSN sale will be over.

Tried to use the new card on walmart.com to buy PSN cards, didn't work. Tried the old card and it was in limbo all day waiting for a response. Finally canceled the transaction, updated back to the new card, of course it failed. $180 worth of games for the price of $26 down the drain

Good news ^^ Got up today to try and test the card in store, got a carton of eggs so if it didn't work I still had the food card to back me up. Took me a couple tries because I'm an idiot but eventually it did work, so went back and found a couple PSN gift cards and everything worked out I wonder if the card needed to be used at a terminal first before it can be used online?

PSN can sometimes be really weird and not work.

PSN has had problems with cards as of late. I switched to Vue a while back now and it didn't renew after my 7 days because it didn't like the card I put in. It would say successful over and over, but would never actually add funds. PayPal would fail as well. Finally just bought PSN cards to cover that month, but for May, I was able to add the card fine I wanted to use. Guess we'll see what happens in June. I found several forum posts about it when I had my initial problems.
