Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

I would feel more comfortable if my phone could charge on any USB, but as it is only one will actually charge the damn thing. Not to mention my lock screen button is a bit "touchy" and my battery life has always been terrible considering how much I use it.

I'll probably end up going the monthly payment route and double up on payments. I have the money, but I just can't bring myself to plunk down the price of a gaming console or TV at one time for a phone.

Honestly, I don't ever think I'm going to move on from Verizon, so I'll just sign two year contracts and get the price discounted. I don't want to come out of pocket and my bill is already high enough without tacking on extra for the cost of a phone.

I thought Verizon got rid of that last year?

I don't know for sure because I haven't got a new phone in almost a year and a half. However, they definitely have 2 year contracts on their website. Maybe it's just an online thing now?

From what I can tell I think its only for existing customers who keep the same plan.

Still being on my parents plan and them just getting smartphones in the last year I don't think I would be eligible.

Yeah I'm on a family plan with my Dad still and we have the contracts. I'm due for an upgrade but my iphone5 is perfectly fine. I had one that died after 6 months but was still covered under Apple so I went to the Apple Store and had it replaced for free. This one has given me no issues for the past year plus I've had it.

Probably won't upgrade until late 2017. Just no need to. When I went from iphone 4 to iphone 5 the difference was noticeable, mainly with the recently released iOS and how it bogged down the older models. But I've got no problems with that now.

The worst is when you are dumb like me and don't understand your contract. "Upgraded" to an S5 in May of '14 at Best Buy. Thought I was paying $200 for the phone and signing a new 2 year contract. Find out when I get my next bill it's gone up $20 a month -_-

That reminds me I need to check and see if they are still billing me for that ****.

Verizon still have contracts, but not in the traditional sense. Pretty much all carriers now have a payment plan system, where upfront you just pay the sales tax for the phone. The actual price for the phone will be added to your phone bill every month. So for example, a S7 Edge, you will be paying around $23 or so a month added to your data plan bill.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

When I sell something on ebay and the buyer takes forever to pay.

I know you technically get 7 days, but I hate it. If I win an auction I almost always pay immediately. I get it if its like a few hours or even a day sometimes, but I think you should have to pay within 24 hours.

I sold an old laptop yesterday and the buyer still hasn't paid. I sent an invoice, and messaged him to ask when he might be able to pay and got no response.

I sold something a few weeks ago, which was only like 8 bucks, but it took the guy almost 2 weeks to pay. I mean come on.

I've also been completely burned a few times where the buyer just flat out didn't pay. Even had a couple people message me after buying an item and tell they didn't really want it.

I get it, its ebay. This stuff happens. But hey, it just grinds my gears.

When the price listed online for a vehicle is $XX,XXX amount, but they failed to inform you of $1,000 in dealership fees. Not to mention another $900 in tax on top of that.

Well the bolded you should expect. And here at least, most of the fees on top aren't always dealership, they are title/license/registration/whatever you call them that are from the state. Going through the contract for the car I bought last year, the only fee the dealership charged on top was a $199 admin fee. And it does kind of go both ways. We all know you aren't going to pay $XX,XXX, you're going to talk them down a bit. You probably cancelled out the fees unless you paid sticker.

I can get my wifi for 40 yards down the street but for some reason it cannot pass through my bathroom doom. I'm beginning to think that wifi might have been created by vampires and that i should try inviting it in.

Not sure on that one given my family lives in Mississippi and we've bought plenty of cars over the years, all with sales tax, usually 5%, whether it was bought in Tennessee or Mississippi.

Speaking of tax, why don't they just add the sales tax to the price in the states. Every other place outside of the states adds to the price so what you see is what you pay.
