Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I can't stand how getting behind the wheel of a car gives you the right to do ish you would never pull in a grocery store lineup. Oh you don't want to wait like everyone so you speed up merge lanes to get just a couple cars ahead of everyone else in rush hour traffic. Do that to me at sobeys I dare you.Comment

You know what really grinds my gears?
There's no way that's how it's "supposed" to work.
I do agree with the "you go, I go" alternating method in situations (usually parking lots after crowded events and stuff)?but if there's signs 1500 feet ahead, flashing lights, and orange cones and you wait til the last second to get over that's reckless at speed. In slow traffic it's annoying because other people got over in anticipation (which is an important driving skill that so many lack), but because you went to the end of the line and now have nowhere to go, you're forcing your way in. Just because they give you the 1500 feet doesn't mean you use 1499 of it.
Illegal? Nah. *******? Yup. It's the mentality that you're the only one on the road. Just like signals are primarily for other drivers to know your intentions, just get over in the plenty of space they give you before the lane ends so people behind you aren't waiting for you to cut in because you ran out of lane. It's a simple, small, maybe add an extra couple minutes to your drive thing but will keep the drivers around you at ease. These days, that's probably worth it.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Pennsylvania specifically says in their construction merge zones to wait until the end to merge. It is actually faster (you can show it with traffic flow equations) and keeps traffic moving instead of people randomly getting over, which keeps pushing the non-ending lane back.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Well specifically I meant in bumper to bumper stop and go. People will leave the slow lane race up an on ramp lane just to get 10 cars ahead in a traffic jam.
Cabs do it too in city streets, race up the side get stopped by a parked car. Blinker on expecting someone they just passed to let them in.Comment

People were always on their horns and yelling out the window. He said the light would turn green and immediately 10 people behind you are blowing their horn for you (and others) to go. Said also an overwhelming percentage of cars had some kind of damage to their bumpers/fenders.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Another neighbor gripe.
I'm in a top floor apartment, it's a small building and there's only one apartment next to me on the floor. The A/C hasn't worked in years and whoever moves in always moves out in summer because the heat is unbearable. The landlord will not replace A/C units anymore. Newest guy next door moved in last October and was immediately a nuisance neighbor with loud music. Old *** guy too, probably in his 60s, always cranking 70s rock or Eminem (oddly), like all day. He'll leave the building and not turn it off.
I'm not a social person (to the point of disability), the most I'm willing to do is bang on the wall, which doesn't work because the guy doesn't care. Just like downstairs dickhead doesn't care if I stomp on the floor (he responds by turning it louder). But I was at peace with knowing it would only be til summer and then he'll bolt like everyone else. Today I saw a nice new A/C unit sticking out of his window
Of all the non bothersome neighbors to come and go from that apartment over the years, THIS guy is the one that finally gets A/C. Stuck with him foreverWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

They been doing that for years though in other sports. So it was only a matter of time before the NBA started doing it too.Comment

I meant the whole premise of it. Not that exact article. I hate that LSU, Bama in football or Duke and Kentucky in basketball doing this ****. It's so stupid.
