My close friend was diagnosed with cancer at 24.
That's nothing. My friend's aunt's cousin's ex husband's acquaintance was diagnosed with two kinds at 23.

I know a girl who has spent enough money on the seminars that she's gone to and other things of his that if she just used that to pay off debt and use some common sense, she'd have been better off by now. I guess I've just always been able to manage my money, so what do I know.

This guy sold his good and newer car, that I am pretty sure was still under factory warranty and I know he could afford payments on, for a used car that he got from a friend of a friend. Dave told him not to have debt in a car... This part is bad luck, but the used car needed about $1200 in repairs not long after buying it.

I think that's solid advice. You really have to do research on a car that holds value and find sellers who are desperate and deal the **** out of it. You'll find that sucker if your patient. I made profit on most of my cars that I had and kept upgrading and it all started with $5k honda accord.

I also learned how to do basic maintenance with cars so that helped along the way with on fixing stuff but i didn't have to fix anything major on my hondas and the only major problem i had was a blown turbo on my Subaru Sti.

I hate debt, I guess that will count as a gear grinder. I can't stand it. Mortgages were ok because I was profiting by charging rent for all the rooms. Other than that I only use my credit card for the points and pay it off every month. I dropped out of college so I didn't have a big debt there too.

I lived debt free for the last 5 or 6 years so its been fantastic. Granted I pretty much spent all I saved into my business so we'll see how great a decision that is in the next couple years.

Specific problem for me, but when you need to adhere to certain requirements, but those requirements are not clearly laid out anywhere or there is conflicting information on them.

These requirements are pretty important too, so you would think having one central place or at least a uniform explanation/interpretation across the board would be paramount, but nah. Let's not make it easy. It almost feels like it's setting you up for failure.

I've seen numerous near collisions because people don't turn into the closest lane.

People who don't stay in the left lane when turning left onto a multi-lane road.

I've seen numerous near collisions because people don't turn into the closest lane.

Maybe they (and possibly you) are doing it wrong because, here is mine from today...

People who are in the left turn lane and do not yield to oncoming traffic prior to turning. I have right of way to go straight or right. Whether you are turning into the left lane or not, you can't assume I will stay to the right when I turn, especially if I'm making an immediate left after turning; we have an intersection setup that way and it's a pain because the person across will turn at their leisure instead of paying attention and you either A) have to just stop, or B) risk being side-swiped because they don't know how driving works.

Same thing goes for those who make a right on red opposite of traffic with a green arrow. If I'm turning left, I have right of way. We have an intersection where it is 2 left lanes turning into 2 lanes, so when some moron opposite decides to cut us off to make a right, they're doing it wrong. Even then, yes, you should keep left when turning, but if you are turning into a business or whatever just after the intersection, like a gas station, you aren't going to stay left, then cut across a lane or two of traffic potentially, to turn in. You'd cause a bigger mess than if you just turned into the lane you needed to be in.

If they have a green arrow to turn and you have a red you should be yielding to them no matter what. It's not a matter of them being idiots nor the lane they turn into.
