You know what really grinds my gears? Youtube tutorials that has videos of someone typing instead of talking. Also those fake robotic monotone voices reading a news article on youtube annoys me too.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I have zero problems sleeping. I just sleep too early. I wake up too often at 2 or 3 AM and once I'm up, I'm up, which then causes me to go to sleep at like 7 the next night. I try and reset it on the weekend, but it always ends up back to that by the middle of the week.Comment

I have a friend who can sleep on command, I hate him so much. He can power nap anytime, it's like a super power.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I have a friend and former roommate who can also sleep on command. It's insane. He lays down and is asleep in like 2 minutes.
I, however have severe insomnia. I've been on every drug there is and it doesn't help. Sometimes I can sleep for a few hours, but if I actually get asleep I wake up every hour or so.
It's not uncommon at all for me to be up for 24 hours straight. I've been up for over 30 hours a number of times. It's basically a living hell. You start to hallucinate. Mostly auditory for me. I hear all kinds of crazy stuff. I also get tunnel vision and feel like my limbs are detached.
Luckily I've been able to get about 5-6 hours of interrupted sleep lately. So I'll take that.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My dad is like that too. I can't do it though. No matter how tired I am it takes at least a half hour to get settled in bed before I can fall asleep. Once I'm out I'm usually good for the night but I have a hard time shutting my brain off enough to get to that point.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My dad was like that, but then again he was narcoleptic because of his work schedule. He did graveyard shifts as a FedEx plant manager, and also was a full-time college professor with night classes. He probably averaged four hours of sleep a day total, so that would include crashing on the couch often. Many times he would fall asleep mid-conversation haha.

Right now I'm just so stressed about opening the resort I'm starting. I feel so overwhelmed I haven't been able to sleep lately. I actually need to take my own advice and calm down before I go crazy.
Go luck to you, just keep looking to fix it before it consumes you and you go deeper into something else.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
It's funny this is brought up today because this morning my wife was really upset about her lack of sleep. We moved from a house to an apartment and it's not a noise issue, but a light issue. We need to find a way to make the room darker. We already have those black out curtains but they aren't making it dark enough.
I don't help her situation because I'm out in like 30 seconds and sleep until the alarm goes off...even if there's plenty of noise.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment
