So DirecTV OnDemand service doesn't allow you to fast-forward. Sucks, but I get it.

I switched rooms to watch the last part of a show using OnDemand, but right when I fired it up I wanted to rewind just a few seconds to catch whatever piece of dialogue I may have missed shutting it off and starting it up again. Problem is DTV wants to rewind to the beginning of the program in those first few minutes if you hit the REW button.

So it jumped back to the beginning of the program and I couldn't fast-forward back to my spot anymore.

Don't even get peoples logic here either. What do they think would happen if they follow the account of a TV show on the day of and following a new episode? You know you're behind on a show, so why expect people to NOT be talking about it?

And sad part, when they post those types of comments to complain, they actually get a decent amount of likes on that post too.

I haven't noticed, but I wouldn't be surprised if even ESPN and other sports networks get people complaining being like "stop posting the score of the game, I didn't see it yet!" lol.

I'm so glad I don't have to watch things on demand anymore. While it helped alot if I missed a show, it was a pain at times watching things. The accidental rewind which puts you back awhile, and also those moments where the box might not save your last watched point, so if you happen to change the channel or something, you also get set back.

And some of these on demand programs have commercials in them, and on rare occasion I'd leave during these breaks since they were regular commercial lengths, and when I came back, show had already begun back, and rewinding would basically just make it take longer to watch(sometimes rewinding BEFORE the commercial break).

Well and also if you must know why I had to watch something On Demand, it's because apparently my series recording that I scheduled from my computer onto DirecTV.com didn't apply to my DVR, and of course I only found out when I noticed my program didn't record the night before!

It's one thing for it to not work and inform me on the matter, but it's another thing when I get a confirmation e-mail that my program was scheduled to record and it turns out that I cannot depend on the system to follow through.

People being pissed off when movie trailers tell you ("spoil") the plot to a movie. Like, that's what they are supposed to do. If you view movies as cheap paperback novels, with their entire value held by some secret story that can only possibly be enjoyed once, that's all you. And it also means the movie kind of sucks.

It's so bizarre. Feels like it's something that has popped up in the last 15 years or so. People nowadays could not possibly handle old trailers from the 1930s-1980s. Those were like 5+ minutes of actual scenes from the movie.

I bring all this up just after reading comments on the new Death Wish trailer. People pissed that they gave away stuff from a ****ing remake. Smh.

I agree with this. Especially when it comes to the comic book movies. Like obviously they are going to show some new hero/villain in order for fans of that character to go and spend money to see that movie, most recent example that comes to mind is SpiderMan in the Civil War trailer. What's the benefit to Marvel/Disney not marketing SpiderMan being in the movie?

I totally agree. But I don't really think this is a new thing. This is what I refer to as a social media caused problem. Because before social media you may have had a friend that had this same feeling. They showed to much in the trailer. I'm so upset. Blah blah blah. But his social contacts were limited to friends and family. So regardless of his feelings it wasn't an issue overall really. Just his opinion.

Enter social media. Now those few in each small circle who had an issue with it before can connect across the world, bitch together, and make it seem like a way bigger deal then it actually is. Ah the benefits of social media lol.

I realize this threads are a form of social media, and I may sound super hypocritical, but I truly detest what it has become. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I really don't like any of them. There is some great things on those but it just gets bogged down by a tremendous amount of garbage that is so hard to filter through. So I guess social media garbage is what really grids my gears lol.

Technically, yes haha. It happened at the dining hall this morning, which irritated me. In the afternoon, I went to the library and the dude at the table next to me and that's what inspired the post lol.

Even worse when playing games online or watching a streamer and they're eating/chewing right by their mic.

I had a dude the other day that was eating cheetos and trying to make callouts to the rest of the team. Dude's callouts were good but I couldn't take his open mouth chewing...I muted him and decided I'd rather go in blind.
