This is part of that Nexstar stuff, right?

We still have CBS where I'm at, but we lost Fox on July 3. So I missed the All-Star Game. It better be back by the time football starts.

We also lost NFL Network earlier this year.

Edit: NM, I went to that TV promise site and see AT&T is having issues with both CBS and Nexstar.

I still have Fox and watched the all-star game, but not CBS; I cant be too far from you, I live in Pell City but I have DirecTV. I'm sure CBS will be back on for me in time for football but if not I'll look into an antenna like blzr was talking about

that could be interpreted several ways. He couldn't text your boss? Is your boss not your boss any more? Texts like that drive me crazy because my imagination is fertile. And willing.

So I got Insignia rabbit ears (gotten them many times before), and they work to get me CBS.

Gotta reprogram my Logitech Harmony One so that I have an activity set for those changes, and get an optical cable running to my receiver so I can get sound out from there instead of the TV itself, but it looks like I'll be good until/unless DirecTV can resolve things with CBS for now. And of course, the other issue is that I can't actually record anything this way, so anything I want to watch will have to be live.

It is an ugly addition to the room for now, though. It's something that truly doesn't belong with everything else along that wall.

There are OTA DVR options but I understand not wanting to bother with that for just one channel that may only be a temporary issue anyway

Not nearly as interesting as all that. Just wanted to go over an AR Reconciliation Detail I put together to tie down A/R on the date of sale. She's been calling me about that **** for almost a month now. Hopefully she's done after today.

I'm on U-Verse, just outside of Huntsville. I lost Fox and I guess the CW too.

I hate when talking with customer service online or over the phone, and they just speak straight to protocol like robots. I get that is literally what many of them are instructed to do (and some of them, no offense, have broken English and that's the only way they kind of know how to assist).

But then every so often I get a humanistic soul who goes off the beaten path and I feel like I'm reasoning with, well, a person. I acknowledge them for it every time that I do, try and find a way to give them any sort of high remarks in feedback.

I wish more could be like this, honestly. It makes it easy to talk with them, heck even laugh with them, whatever it is. I'm sure their day isn't the best and they probably know I'm calling for a reason that's not tickling my fancy either, so the fact that we can have a real conversation always leaves me way more than satisfied.

So when I get someone who opens their mouth with some of those first few procedural lines, I almost want to hang up and try again, lol.

It's worse-worse when I have an account under another family member's name, and I've made them aware that I'm different than that person, but they still refer to me as someone like "Mr. Calvin" (my deceased father) or "Cynthia" (my mother, which I don't get how they do that besides the fact they're looking at screen info and prompts).
