What about people who only play the lottery when it's like $200 million or more....as if they are saying, sorry, but $50 million just isn't enough for me. I need at least 1/2 a trillion dollars to peak my interest.
And on the same topic, the people who don't play the lottery until it is that high because "their odds of winning are better." You're odds of picking 6 numbers out of 50 are the same regardless of how many people are also playing. Now the typical poker "pot odds" come into account so it actually makes sense statistically to play when it gets to a certain point, but they don't mean that.Comment
