    The truth is spoken.

    And...

Play defense...I want to stay on the court...don't lose your man and shrug it off like it's nothing.

thats is the worst getting put off the court because your team isn't playing hard. Id rather pick the no skills guy that gives it 110% then the I'm too good for [X] guy any day.

haha..What about the guy who is always open yet is so horrible you don't want to pass to him or my personal nightmare...the guy who cant shoot but hits a shot so he thinks he has earned the right to shoot some more.

This isn't about you guys but I hate when people take pickup games too serious. You aren't going to the NBA so calm down. I could see if someone is just joking around during the game but yelling at people and losing your mind over a game that doesn't matter is ridiculous. I was watching some games and people take them way too serious.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

My personal favorite is the point guard who over dribbles, always gets the ball stripped, throws terrible passes, and has done all of these for years... and he decides to yell at you about awareness.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

While we're on the subject of basketball, one thing that really grinds my gears is when I'm playing with people who do not want to win! Either people who don't care at all or are just messing around. I hate people who must shoot the ball whenever they touch it, people who shoot from behind the arc in a game of all ones, especially toward the end of the game.

Basically, I don't care if it's my third straight pickup game and everyone's tired. I'm never too tired to win.

It's always, "You didn't come back to the ball." It's true sometimes, but not as much as TO (short for Turn Over) thinks it is.

I know I probably sound like the guy jmood described but I'm not the really vocal type on the court. I usually don't say much besides "good take" or anything. I just get kinda frustrated. Either when my team gets blown out or it's close and somebody who has no business shooting decides to take the game into their own hands.

Im not too vocal either I only use a couple of terms that should be interpreted....

"If we pass the ball around they cant cherry pick us" = stop taking dumb shots\ ballhogging..

"We dont have to be the Suns guys" = stop grabbing the rebound, running down court on a 1-5 break and losing the ball

"You straight?" Your mans KILLING you, want me to check him?

I wish I was good at basketball. I can't dribble (special dribbles) nor shoot to save my life. I can do layups, but that's about the extent of my basketball skills.

As for what grinds me gears, professors who cancel class, but decide not to leave any kind of notice. I check my e-mails every morning before class, to see if any of my classes were cancelled. I didn't see any e-mails saying class was cancelled, and when I got to class there was no note on the door notifying us that class was cancelled.

I walk in the room and people are sitting there like usual. We all sit there for around fifteen minutes, and no one shows up. No note on the door, no e-mail, nothing. Finally we all just walked out and said the hell with it.

I only had one class, so I just went home. What a waste of a morning.
