I think the man should probably get in trouble, but I don't feel bad for the criminals at all. If they would have not broke into to the house, then they wouldn't be dead.

I think the guy calling the cops and saying while on the phone, I am going to shoot/kill them and then going out there to do it.

If I did this at work I would be terminated immediately...sued...and probably criminally prosecuted. Use of deadly force for a property crime when there is no danger of an immediate threat is frowned upon. As a citizen I know you have more lee-way...but this isn't the Old West and we have a court system for a reason.

I tell people all the time...stay inside...make a good witness...and direct us where to go. There is no need to take the law into your own hands. I've seen normal citizens get hurt on petty crimes because they try and jump in and "help".

Yeah it seems like this guy went way over the line, unless they came onto his property and tried to enter his house as well.

If this was anywhere other than Texas then this guy would have alot to worry about but I doubt that he gets in any trouble.

Burglars are ***** *** hoes. Armed robbers at least see directly their impact on the other person, burglars are just little girls. The gunman should have stomped out the burglars testes after shooting them.

Media is trying to make these guys out as hard working men, I don't know any hard working men who break into peoples houses and steal.

The man was wrong, but I'm not going to feel bad for these guys. Good thing no one was home or who knows what would of happened to the people in their house.

He shot and killed two men who posed no threat to himself or anyone else. They were fleeing from the scene. He murdered two people. He should be put in jail.

You break into someone's house, you should be killed. Had that family been at home, who knows what could have happened to them. Just look at that family in Connecticut(was it Connecticut).

I am 100% with the guy who killed the burglars. He even said, "stop or I'll shoot." They didn't stop, so he shot. It's their own ******* fault.

I know he has no legal leg to stand on in 49 states (lets face it California frequently bastardizes the justice system), but part of me says good for him. Common thieves turn my stomach, they are appalling, scum sucking pieces of ****. I know as well as anyone here when deadly force can be used and this wasn't the case, but I just wish this guy wouldn't get in trouble. We have bent over so far in this country to protect the rights of criminals that Lady Justice is about to snap her back. It is time the pendulum swings in the other direction for the betterment of society.

Ridiculous. People do make mistakes you know? Just because someone breaks into someone's house DOESN'T mean they deserve to die. That standpoint is beyond idiotic. People make mistakes all the time, do things they normally wouldn't do, are desperate for some reason. What do you know about these two people and who they were? Nothing.

They put themselves in the situation. They had the opportunity to save themselves. He clearly said he would shoot if they didn't stop. They didn't stop. You don't disobey a guy with a gun, unless you know you can get away unscathed or you just don't give a **** what happens in the end.

You see a sign on a fence that says "live mine field", do you run onto the field? No, you stop and turn around.

I myself wouldn't have shot them, but I don't disagree with what the guy did.
