Pretty bad over here. Streets are horrible. Took me a while ot drive my brother to school. Hopefully it calms down, anyone know what happening in New York? I'll be catching a flight there tomorrow morning.

Still happens today, in the year 2008.

I've never gotten an e-mail, phone call, or bulletin online. It's absolutely ridiculous how they don't let you know if a class is cancelled.

It's also messed up how the Dean never closes the school down. The roads are absolutely AWFUL today, and the Dean hasn't closed the college down. He lives right on the hill that the college is located, so if the road is okay there, he won't cancel class. I don't think he knows that people from all around the state go to this college. Just because that one road is fine, doesn't mean every other one is fine as well.

If I ever see the Dean, I'll punch him in the throat.

Wow, we are getting heavy wet snow here in High Point, NC now. We have about 3/4 inch already and it wasn't even supposed to snow tonight, LOL! More terrible North Carolina forecasts...

Now we've got about 2 inches of snow on the ground and it is still pouring down snow. The snow is starting to stick to the roads too!

I'm sure it does. I figured the norm was heading to class and finding a canceled note on the door. I'm sure technology has given colleges the opportunity to notify students online (unlike in my day), but many probably don't utilize it.

Be happy you can drive! The windchill was once 40 below when I was in college with a ton of snow (I went to school in Erie, PA in the middle of the snow belt). They never closed the college despite warnings of frostbite for anyone outside longer than 10 minutes. I lived off campus and had to walk about 8 blocks to get to campus. Now THAT sucked!

This is pretty amazing I must say. Because of snow and sickness, I have a 1 day school week.

Well, school is out today because of the 2 inches of snow last night. The roads were just wet, yet these people in North Carolina are too chicken to drive in a little wet roads. There may have been a few patches of black ice, but not enough to close school...

                    But, I like it!

8-12 inches expected for south central Wisconsin for Sunday.

This weather is really starting to piss me off. We're already 45 inches above our average for the year.

Apparently we're expecting 20-30 cms on sunday

This is also the worst winter in the Toronto area since 1950 in terms of actual snow on the ground.

Same here in Western Colorado. Our snowpack is close to 200% of average. We haven't had a winter like this in 20 years. None of the ranchers are going to be bitchin about no water this summer.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the first day above freezing in a LONG LONG time.. hopefully that will take care of a little of the snow.

Before it snows again, tomorrow night.
