Re: Snow is here!
Same happened here.
Except, when it is as slippery as it is today, I don't go out. Not worth risking an accident and/or death.Comment

Re: Snow is here!
I have no idea why, but they canceled all classes before 10 am today and one of my afternoon classes was canceled also. There's not even that much snow right now so I guess the roads must be icy for them to cancel classes.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Snow is here!
Boooo! We have only dipped below 32 a few times and have yet to have anything ( I mean we hardly ever get anything anyway) but the night before it rained pretty bad, but was above freezing, last night it was below freezing but no rain. I want snow, ice or something dammit!
Maybe it will be like last year and we get a few inches of snow around easter (it was in april when we got it last year)Comment

Re: Snow is here!
When I lived in Central Arkansas,I had the same deal as you are having. It did snow/sleet the day after Xmas which i enjoyed-but-until I moved to Southwest Missouri I really never saw snow like I did yesterday. I just got done raking snow off our cars with a broom. Not too bad but I wasn't paying attention and slide down into a small drainage ditch. Didn't get hurt, but it was a heads up about respecting the snow and watching where you are going. Today I will drive into town-another learning experience to come....Boooo! Re: Snow is here!
Up here in Pullman, Washington we have got a total of about a foot and half the last 2 days. It's been pretty nuts. Washington has declared a state of emergency because the roads are so bad from the storms. Washington State University has been closed yesterday and today...the first time the university has been closed in more than 20 years. Gonzaga and Eastern Wash. have both been closed all week long.Comment

Re: Snow is here!
We got some last night and had off school. Best part is that seniors don't have to make it up

Re: Snow is here!
No snow in the last couple of weeks...and it looks like no time soon. A high of 59 and 66 is not really conductive to snow.

Re: Snow is here!
Yesterday-we had very warm weather(almost 70) and then a tornado wizzed within miles of our house. Now,this morning it's very cold and light snow is coming down. Strange weather indeed.

We haven't had this kind of weather here in Chicago in a good 15+ years. This is nuts.Comment
