I actually believe it hurts the company, as you are taking money from it. That said, at this point I'm not sure it matters, as you'll be able to buy it back quicker, and make more money with the newer truck.

Yeah the new truck will be a nice upgrade. The current one is only able to go 65 MPH. Going that extra 9 MPH with improved MPG will be nice. And hopefully I'll be able to purchase items for the new one to make it go even faster.

Currently I have the new tires and the cheapest fuel thing (air filter I think)....if you buy, don't forget to sell the items separately from your truck when you are ready to upgrade your vehicle...apparently you get more value that way.

I'm hoping to get a truck in the $15k range by the end of the weekend...
I think you do. I just bought the the $1020 fuel filter and it didn't raise the value at all.

I'm also starting to save up my money to buy a new truck. I have 4 grand in my pocket and 8 grand in company stocks, plus my truck is worth 4 grand. I'll be gone for 5 days in 2 weeks so I'm planning on buying a new truck when I get back. And then buying some more stock.

Best route right now, Richmond to Southport. 302 miles, 1.60 PPM.

                That's after the cargo change.

I know. I even donated $20...how funny is that. For a game I play maybe 5 minutes a day. We need some more drivers though in order to get the company rolling...we must have a ton of members on here. Post 3 fewer messages a day and that's about all the time you need to drive your truck around.

I just went ahead and bought a new truck. I purchased the 1997 Kenworth W900. for 13,000. The max speed is 73 and it gets 6.2 miles to the gallon.

Welcome to my world....I bought the truck for $13,500 and have been having serious issues with it breaking down ever since. Inevitably if I do a standard repair it will breakdown within the next 5 turns.

I just bought a new truck, I had a bad stretch where I pushed my old one in which I crashed twice and got a ticket in one day. That cost me about 1 grand LOL.

We need more drivers, the stock price is plummeting

I have run my crappy starter truck into the ground but am just 2-3 routes from the truck I want next, the 1997 Freightliner. The POS I have now cruises along at a cool 47 MPH.

Got my new truck finally. I barely could afford it so hopefully I finish my route before I need to put any money into it. 70 MPH really is better than 46.. go figure.
