How does one earn wages? I'm not exactly sure, but the company is taking money out of all of my routes and I'm not sure what I'm getting in return... anything?

The company has taken $54.51 out of your route profits. You've saved $122.99 in repair and fuel costs. Basically while the company is taking a collection out of your profits, you're also saving a ton in fuel and repair costs. If you happen to be in Phoenix or Jacksonville, you'll also get an additional savings on fuel and repairs, as well as not having to spend a turn to fuel up or repair. I believe you also get a small percentage bonus for taking cargo into one of our terminals.
As for wages, the company can only pay 8 people wages at one time. That's normally meant for the senior company members. President, VP, HR and so on. As we aren't very big, there is no point to spend money on wages when we can save up for things like new terminals, or a truck purchase discount for all members.
Hope this helps a little bit.

That does help. I didn't know how it worked or where to find that. Thanks. The company has taken $54.51 out of your route profits. You've saved $122.99 in repair and fuel costs. I have 2,600 in cash and can take out another 1k loan. My truck is worth about 3,500, for a total of 7,100 I can spend. What truck should I shoot for next, so I know how much to save up?Originally Posted by Briman123

Re: Trukz
I bought the 1996 International. Bought a set of fresh tires for it for I think $2700 and that raised the Max Truck Condition to %100. Runs at 70 mph nowComment

Re: Trukz
You can take out a 1k loan 3 times. So if you wanted to you could take out a 1k loan 3 days in a row and then you could buy a better truck.Comment

Re: Trukz
Save up and buy the International 8200. Shouldn't be much longer for you, but from what I've read, it's the best second truck to buy. Semi-low miles compared to the trucks around it, and it still goes pretty fast. Makes a HUGE difference when it comes to productivity. I was able to pay off my loans and even make money back very quickly.Comment

I'm driving my a** off!
I just got a nice new truck a week or so ago. Here's my question...what are the best upgrades for your buck to get? Also is buying stock worth it?

I have just started this game and would love to join the company. What do I need to do? I have done about 3 routes successfully so far.The Sports Preacher

Re: Trukz
No worries BK. I noticed you haven't even been on here much, so I figured something had to be up.
For upgrades, I think tires are pretty good. "New Tires - $3,000.00 -Increases maximum truck condition +15%. Reduces chances of bad weather accidents -5%. Increases top speed in bad weather +5%".
The high gear ratio also seems like a decent choice, and is what I'll probably buy next. "High Gear Ratio - $2,500.00 - Decreases your trucks load limit -2,000 lbs. (not the legal load limit) Increases the top speed of your truck +5 MPH. Good until 8/2/2008. Item sells with truck."
Don't hold me to either one, that's just what I think. I really have no idea what I'm doing.
As for stock, I think it's worth it. For one, you help the company out, which will allow us to build more terminals around the country. For two, you can hold onto them and then sell them if needed for a new truck. Just make sure if you do, you buy more when you get a chance.
Go here. http://www.trukz.com/company_display.asp?ID=412 And choose to join the company. Then once I ourTTUmatador8 see it we'll approve you, and you're in. That link should work, if it doesn't let me know.
