I post mostly at DSM, but have never had any issues with anyone at OS.
Can't say I think any mod here is a Nazi.
Only contact I've ever had with a mod here is one PM with Dave360.
He answered my question promptly.

I personally like pics in sigs, but everyone is entitled to their tastes.

I would prefer the forums kept separately, but not because of any issues with anyone here. I am just used to the people I converse with at DSM. I primarily come to OS for sliders and game impressions, not to get in arguments over who has the bigger e-penis.

I see that the news was a bit startling over here as well as at DSM. I guess if the "higher-ups" have made the decision to merge, there's not a whole lot left to be said.

Having said that, I'd like to offer the olive branch, as it were, and invite you all to come over and check out the DSM forums. Sure we have some knuckleheads, but what forum doesn't? Look forward to seeing you around in both forums!

After reading the thread, a few of those guys seem cool but I fear they are the minority over there.

No, there are actually many cool people there (of course I am one of them) and yes, there are dicks but the reaction here is basically the same as it turned out to be there. If you guys would have found out first, you would have done the same thing, or at least the people here that have the same mentallity as the people bashing over there.

So, as a part of both areas, even though my post count is 20 times higher there, I find both communities to be helpful to me. Its just that I know more people there. I come here when I need help or have input on specific games (ie The Show, APF, 2k5.. etc). I mainly hang out in the gameroom at MM/DSM but I'm active throughout. I'm not so sure I like the idea of the merge simply because I like having 2 choices and its familiar to me.

If you guys are willing to accept change, than I am too but we will ultimately have to get along if the forums do eventually become one. Regardless, the cool people here will help the cool people there and the dicks will be dicks, without any outside influence. But trust me, there are really good posters there, just as there are respected and trust worthy members here.

Just remember guys, its WE that make these places the way they are and its WE that have to step up and make it work. If it fails, its because we let it fail and I would like to think that we're smart enough not to let that happen
