End of a era.......
My fiance of 3 years broke it off with me yesterday, because she wasn't willing to wait for me to get my degree, and to get my last of my surgeries done on my kidney. She wanted to get married this month or she was walking away. I said no way am I ready I have a friggin tube in my back draining my kidney until my surgery in March. Only things I can do is go to class *have to skip my pain meds till I get home which is a killer*, and go rent movies, or get some grub. Spend most of my time on my back on the laptop, or playing PS1, 360 *when I've had it to play*, and PS3. Funny thing is I'm normally tore up about break ups with chics especially ones that I deeply loved, but not this time. I felt better about it yesterday because now I don't have the pressure of getting married all over my back while trying to finish up my degree, and don't have to hear about all her work drama that she somehow brings me into. Sorry, but if she can respect me enough to just hold on for just a lil bit longer, and give me a ultimatum that girl is not for me. Not only that our we are now on two different paths as far as religion goes. She doesn't go to church with me anymore making any and ever excuse not to go, and I go whenever the door is open. I feel a lot more at ease, and happy. Just glad this happened before we took our vows. I only want to get married once.President of the Devils Den

Re: End of a era.......
Sounds like she wasn't the one then. If you aren't that upset, then you are in a better place and will move on easily.
I'm like you, married once and that's it. Been with my wife 12 years now, 7 of them married.Comment

Re: End of a era.......
Hope everything works out man! You seem to be pretty upbeat about it but I know its still gotta suck. I was just thinking last night that there are soooo many chicks out there in the world; which made me question my own relationship (another story completely!). Everything really DOES happen for a reason, and the girl of your dreams may be just around the cornerComment

Re: End of a era.......
The fact that you don't care that it happened says it all, bro. Good for you. Today is the first day of the rest of your life (or some cheesy crap like that).

Thanks guys. Only thing that sucks is we have halfway paid for our wedding rings. Dunno what to do about that since they don't give refunds just a "credit." Guess I'll pay em off, and keep mine, and pawn hers.President of the Devils Den

Pdiddy, sorry to hear about your kidney and the break-up. My wife has had kidney problems with all 3 pregnancies over the last 6 years. I hope your surgery goes well bro.
Just remember one thing, if she wasn't willing to wait around for you in a time when your health is bad just imagine how she would be if something else was worse in your life. There are a million other women in the pond that is right for you.
Keep us updated on your condition.Comment
