When I read the title I thought you were going to tell us you were now a UNC fan.

Sounds like the right thing happend. From what you said, she doesn't seem like the girl for you anyways, and that's all that matters. Hit me up if you need anything.

Nah, I knew you were messing with me, I've just never heard that before. I'm "behind the times" so to speak. No need to explain it, it's funnier for everyone else that way.

That's a pretty long time and I can see a lot of women thinking that's too long (and potentially giving an ultimatum. It does seem tactless of her to make that ultimatum in your current condition, but what was going on for the rest of the engagement that prevented you from actually getting married?) Not caring that you're not getting married now, feeling relieved of the "pressure" of getting married, accusing her of making excuses for not going to church when maybe she feels you've been making excuses for not getting married for the last 3 years (getting a degree), etc.

I obviously don't know either of you, but there are always 2 sides and it's not likely you presented her side in your post, understandably. But just going by the wording in your post, I do get the impression you didn't really want to marry this girl, so it sounds like maybe it is best that it never get to that point.

She knew going in that I was in nursing school, and to better our life it would be best if I got all the way through and not worried about getting married. Then all of my health probs started and in the past 3 months I've been on my deathbed 3 times. By the grace of God am I still here to even post here and live today. She used to be a Jehova's Witness, and then nothing. She started going to my church at first and of course it was different being a Baptist church and all. She came around, but after about 3 weeks into it she made excuse after excuse and it was the same thing everytime. It's my only day during the week to sleep in. Well if you wouldn't stay at my house till 2-3 am that wouldn't be a problem. I get up the same time she does, and I still made it to church. I wanted to get married earlier, but again with my kidney problems kinda made that hard when I've been out of work since May 10th. If I ain't got any income coming in, and she is barely able to pay rent....plus my college expenses, took a loan out to pay some hospital bills that the insurance didn't pick up *thank god they are paying 100% now*....where is the income? I'm not going to jump into a marriage all ready in debt, or struggling. I've seen how my parents live paycheck to paycheck and that's not what I want for myself or my wife. If I can't even support myself right now why in the world would I take on someone else? When I get married it's once, and one time only. I don't believe in divorce unless there is just no other way possible, but why chance that if someone gives me a ultimatum? She knew going into this relationship how I could make our lives easier financially, but all she cared about was getting what she wanted when she wanted it. Getting married costs too, and I want to be able to have all my family there, and friends along with my wife's family. Doesn't have to be big or lavish, but I want it to be pretty darn good, because you only get married once. Or at least that's the goal. God opened my eyes to things like her back talking me, doing it in front of my parents, and back talking them. Sorry you can cuss me out all you want in private if I've done something wrong, but don't A. Do it in front of company or my folks, and B. Don't cuss my folks out either when they bent over backwards helping her when she didn't have money to pay her car insurance, or car payments, and not only that helped her parents out by giving them 500 dollars we really didn't have so her folks family wouldn't be kicked out of their trailer because they were behind on trailer payments.

Be happy you didn't marry her and find out in a year that she's harboring some sort of resentment towards you. I've seen that happen to too many marriages and sucks to hear about the inevitable divorces later on.

Oh, another reason this is a good thing...Now you can concentrate on what truly matters to you and JUST JACK IT!!!!!!!!!
