Sorry to hear man, but if she couldn't wait it out til you had your surgery, etc. then I guess it's best for you to move on. Like you, I'm hoping to be married only once. 5 Years and counting, and so far so good.

Re: End of a era.......
not knocking you, but no woman will put up with being engaged for 3 years. Most would of gave the ultimatum much sooner. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: End of a era.......
LOL, I hear you.
Man the only thing you can do is try to live the rest of your life. You should consider yourself lucky though if you've found out things about her that don't sit well with you. Back talking is a HUGE no no for me. I don't go for that at all and haven't had any chick even attempt it. They know better than that.Comment

Re: End of a era.......
That's cool, but again she knew going in it wouldn't be just a 6 month engagement. It takes 2 years just to get through nursing school, and with my getting my BS so I can basically pick and choose what job I want as far as the nursing field goes she knew that too. She agreed with me that she didn't want to start off struggling, and that when I got that done we would have no money problems to worry about. And when she keeps quitting and getting new jobs every 3-4 months kinda hard to be able to set back money for a wedding much less something to start our marriage out with so we won't be poor, and have to look to the government for support. Sorry, but I don't accept handouts from the government when I'm not permanently disabled, mentally handicap, or handicap for long periods of time. Sure I've not been able to work, but at the same time through out all these sugeries I've still been able to go to college full time and stay on target to get my degree. It's been hard and stressful well nursing school is anyway, and to people that don't know how hard it is what can I tell ya? So taking on that stress, the stress of my health, being almost declared dead 3 times in the past 3 months, excuse me for not looking at getting married this month as a priority. Btw my parents were engaged for 5 years, a few of my aunts and uncles were too, and my cousin and her husband were engaged for 6 years. So if someone loves you enough they will wait. I'd waited for her if the shoe was on the other foot.President of the Devils Den

Re: End of a era.......
A) I just realized that I remember when you first got engaged . . . THREE YEARS AGO! Wow; we've been on OS too long.
B) I completely understand about the religion thing. I'm agnostic and pretty cynical about a lot (not all) of the religious people out there. As such, I won't date a religious woman because it wouldn't be fair to her in the long run. Whether someone is in your shoes or my shoes, religion (or lack thereof) is an important part of the discretionary process. You made the right decision.

Pdiddy,
Its better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all. And there's a reason why God made our arms long enough, to reach that thing above our balls.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Get healthy and get back out there. Life's too short to worry about things. I like your mindset.Comment
