Re: So its that time of the year...TAX TIME!!!! Yayyyy.
Thanks for the heads up KDRE_OS, much appreciated. So it looks like as long as you earned 3,000.00 last year then you are guaranteed a 300.00 check, and it can get as high as 600.00 depending on the income. I wish it got a little more in depth as to what the different levels of income are and what they equal out to with this plan but this is more info then I had. If anyone is interested in reading the entire article and seeing how it may work for them here is the link...

Re: So its that time of the year...TAX TIME!!!! Yayyyy.
yeah, I can pull it off. That doesn't even seem possible... I knew you sucked.... but this is a different level. What do you write off? I know you have a home. I know you both work, so you probably have childcare to write off. Do you donate to anything charitable? Thousands of dollars and you're claiming ZERO seems damn difficult to do. But, if anyone can pull it off.... I'm sure it's you.
Part of it was my wife made 5k that wasn't taxed (we still would of owed without that too) . I think we are in a high tax bracket ( I think it was 25% bracket).

the brackets are based off of taxable income right? Not what you actually made that year, but what is taxable after all your deductions ?My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: So its that time of the year...TAX TIME!!!! Yayyyy.
I did the tax estimation at turbotax.com and I should be getting a lot back. I usually only get <$1,000, but because I bought a house this year and other deductions, I'm getting some money back. Now I just need to see if I owe anything to the 2 states I woked in.Comment

Re: So its that time of the year...TAX TIME!!!! Yayyyy.
Im pretty good about doing my own taxes since they arent very complex but tonight I made a small mistake, or atleast Im hoping its a small mistake. When I filed it tonight I forgot to fill in the box for my middle initial, is this going to cause any problems at all? I would assume not, and it might be a really stupid question, but I figured as long as everything else matched up then not having my middle initial wouldnt screw everything up. If anyone in the tax field can answer me that would be much appreciated.Comment

Best price I've seen if you are doing your own taxes on the PC. $16.95 incudes federal, state and efiling for both. I used TaxAct last year and this year.

Re: So its that time of the year...TAX TIME!!!! Yayyyy.
How long does the IRS's website take to get your information up on the "Where Is My Return?" section after you submit electronically?
I did mine online this year through TaxCut, got the approval notices over the weekend and the IRS site doesn't seem to know anything about my return. I'm giving them a few more days before i break down and call them about it, but I was wondering if anybody knew this, I know a few people mentioned they use TaxCut here.Comment
