Weak story (and more juice that I may add on post-ejection, but later because it's a long story), but basically, this ump (plate ump) had a strike zone as big as... well, it was big. Anyway, you know, I can respect an umpire that gives a pitcher a couple inches off one side of the plate (though I don't prefer it), but when he's six inches off both sides of the plate, that's just not right. So, on three separate occasions, the guy gives the pitcher a mid-shin call, an inside call, and an outside call. The inside and the outside were both in the same at bat, so it definitely didn't make him look good. He rung me up on an outside curve that started and stayed outside, and after that, I had enough. I turned around, tossed my bat toward my dugout, and without facing him, I said, "Not even close." Then he says back to me, "The strike zone has already been established, son," and I said, "Well, re-establish it then!"

All hell broke loose after that.

I think he's in San Diego and I'm sure they run "winter" leagues.

Well, it's a fall league, but yes. It started in August and this was the last game of the season (though we made playoffs). Some people play in the same NABA (national baseball adult situation) on OS like I do as well. Steve Finley was in the San Diego adult league with me as well.

I feel for you. I think i'm finally cured. I fell asleep at 6ish and didn't wake up til 4 AM. So you probably wondering what took me 2 1/2 hours to get here? Well I tried to convert something I downloaded to DVD but every time I tried to convert it to disc I got the Blue Screen of Death (well actually not really it was the Blue Screen of Prevention) which freaked me out and prompted me to download the latest Windows Service Pack.

If I get that blue screen again i'm seriously reverting my PC back to an earlier restore point.

Since some have called this the unofficial food thread, I'll chime in.

Eggs over Easy with plain wheat toast is amazing.

I have to go to bed at some point, but right now I'm doing laundry.

And JJ I feel your pain. My job makes me noctournal, which isn't that bad I suppose.

It does suck to go to sleep when it's dark outside, then drive to work when it's dark outside also. Real downer.

Stupid drivers piss me off. This morning I'm driving through town in the left lane and ******* in front of me puts their left signal on. But instead of getting into the designated left turn lane she stays in my lane. After several jolts of my car horn she realizes what she has done and tries to correct herself by making a half turn. So now she is halfway in the turning lane and halfway in my line making it still impossible to pass. Traffic was brutal going the other way and noone would even stop to let the idiot get out of harms way. 6-7 minutes I sat there. Your license should be revoked!

LOL, just one of my pet peeves I guess, bad drivers.

Just opened a package of Pop-Tarts to munch on and both tarts are completely smashed to bits. I'm practically choking to death on all the pastry dust.

Wife is out of town for a few days...why couldnt this happen over a weekend? It doesnt matter, ill spend most of the day down in the hospital with my grandma.

My wife was out of town over the weekend, but her dad was visiting to install our bathroom floor (of which I am very grateful for). However, I didn't get in the gaming time that I expected to, but I tried to make up for it yesterday after my father-in-law left.

My grandma was in the hospital over the weekend, too (are we living parallel lives)? She was put on a new heart medicine and needed to be monitored for a couple of days. Talked to her last night and sounds like she's feeling good.
